A+ What can I say about Kailey? First off, I absolutely adore her to pieces! She has a beautiful peachy complexion and very good face coloring. Her hair is blond with highlights and styled with a straight blunt cut in the back and 2 braids in front. I took the braids out of mine and have yet to accomplish rebraiding them the exact same way as when they were new. Her hair is silky and a bit thin- I think this is meant to help it lay smooth. Because it's so thin you can't style it in as many ways without her wig cap showing. But to me she is the most beautiful doll ever made. Who can resist her soulful brown eyes?

I love my Kailey! I have three favorite dolls. But she is my most favorite!!!! -hugs- My mom won her on ebay for me, her wig is a little thin in the back...but we're sending her in for a head replacement. Also her limbs are a LITTLE loose. But she can stand on her own. This is because she's from ebay. I'd give her an A+++++++ any day!!
~~**HAPPY HOLIDAYS!**~~ My Dolls: Back row-Jess, Nellie, Kailey Second row- Samantha, Julie, Marisol, Kaya First row- Josefina, Sarah Nicole (#14) Dolls I want: Jocelyn (Rebecca- mini me), Elizabeth, and Chrissa(Will be re-named).
I just received my Kailey from a second hand market this weekend. I do agree that her hair is quite thin. But I also think this might be so that it will lay correctly on her head. I had no problem re-braiding her hair to match her original style.
What I like about her is that her limbs are not as hard nor as narrow as Jess's limbs seem to be. They're more rounded and thick like the older dolls. At least my Kailey's are. Also her limbs don't seem to be loose at all.
I would give Kailey a B+ (only because of the thin wig does she not receive an A)
Hey, I have a quick question. if Kailey has pigtails, is almost the whole back of the wig cap supposed to show?!!!!! SHE LOOKS BALD! BALD BALD BALD!!!!!!

I got Kailey from AG when she was for sale on the website. She came well, her face was excelenty, I loved her meet dress as well. However, I don't like her wig at all! You can't put it up or she looks bald, her ends split horribly over a short period of time, and it is not on very well (at least compared to the other dolls).. other wise she would get an A.

Kailey is cute, but not a favorite around here. My daughter got her for Christmas during the brief time she was interested in AG dolls. My daughter later told me that she didn't actually like Kailey; she only liked Kailey's dog and the fact that she was LE! Of course, we didn't get her the dog. Had I known, I'd have gotten the dog instead of the doll and saved some money, because now my daughter is in her teens, and Kailey is tucked away under the dresser.
As for the doll, I really like her hair. It doesn't appear to be super thin on the doll we have, and it's just so silky smooth and shiny. It has held up quite well, but the doll hasn't been played with much. I am not generally a huge fan of the blonde dolls, but I do like the fact that she has brown eyes. It's a nice combination. Her meet dress is cute (one of my favorites of the LE dolls), but the shoes are terrible and won't stay on her feet.
Overall, I'd say I like her, but she doesn't "wow" me.

My Kailey is so cute! I do have the problem with her wig, looking bald and being matted. I left her braids in for 2 years and when I undid them, it was all frizzy. I'm thinking about sending her to the Doll Hospital though, for a new head.

I just got Kailey, and I love her. My doll's hair is not too thin, but I am not sure about the extra thickness in the front though. You almost have to have her hair at least half up. All in all though I love her. Her hair is so silky, and has great lowlights!

I love Kailey. Her wig looks beautiful if left in the original braids, which is what I have done for the two or so years I've had her. I have yet to see a doll with the same gorgeous highlights as Kailey.

We LOVE Kailey around here... hence our user name! She was my DD's first doll and still the favorite. We are actually considering buying a JLY doll to be Tess so she has a best friend like all of our other dolls. He hair is gorgeous and very easy to manage. I highly recommend her to both girls and collectors!
Kailey is a really nice doll - her hair usually has a nice crinkle in the front where the braid was originally. She is slightly bald, however, so I always just leave her hair down.
I ended up selling Kailey because of her baldness... I would post a picture in pigtails if I still had her. I get my blond/brown eyes coloring fix with my #24 (who I can actually do something with her hair).

I just received my Kailey from another board member and I am so glad I decided to get her. She's GORGEOUS! Yes, her hair is a bit thinner in back (no pigtails for this girl) but the glorious colour makes up for it - with long, soft, shiny highlighted hair like hers you want it keep it down so you can admire it anyway. I talked myself out of buying Kailey for the longest time and I'm glad I finally caved. Here is our new Kailey
I had some of Kailey's things already, having bought Sandy when she was out for DD's Little Sister, and later picked up her bikini, snorkel set and camera from ebay to add to the swimwear collection shared by our JLYs. I resisted Kailey herself for quite a while before succumbing, after seeing just one too many enticing photos of her here at AGPT!! Having most of her stuff, might as well have the doll, I thought.... and thanks to Mrs Mac's LE price report, realised that it would be a good idea, if I was going to find my Kailey, to seek her out during the summer price 'slump'.
I'm glad I saw sense, finally, lol. Kailey is such a lovely doll. Her meet dress is really pretty and nicely made. My Kailey didn't have her undies, but luckily a board member was selling a pair at just the right time and now she isn't draughty any more
I love Kailey's silky, streaked hair. I haven't played alot with her hair (apart from giving her a mini Downy on arrival and then cautiously going over her hair with the low-heat straightener to fix some minor 'fluffies' and frizz) but it seems reasonably thick, thank goodness.
OK, I will admit Kailey is my least favorite LE...but then again, I am not a huge blonde fan...but I do really like Kailey. Her highlights/lowlights are amazing! It really makes me wonder why they don't do more color combos, the effect is stunning.
Her coloring is fabulous as well. I like her deep brown eyes as well.
Her hair is a bit thin, but not as bad as I feared. I do believe it is a function of making the hair lay correctly. It doesn't seem thin at all, when left in the original style...but if you start 'playng' with it at all, it does.
