 Ranch Outfit

I gave this one a C. The straw hat review is in a thread all it's own.

The shirt is a long sleeved back velcro closure. Pale shade of green with ivory patches on the shoulders-front of shirt only. The ivory patches have a pink flower pattern to them. This same ivory flower material caps the end of the sleeves. Elastic at the ends causes the sleeve to drop into a bell shape. The end of the sleeve isn't hemmed. It looks as if someone just cut of the material and moved on to something else.

The center of the shirt has an iron on or sticker of a girl riding a horse. The girl's lasso is actually stitched into the shirt. There are 5 copper studs glued on to either side of the girl to form a circle. Too bad those couldn't have been put on with a much more permanent means.

The bright pink trousers have a corduroy look to them but they are very lightweight. There is a western style button on the front where the velcro closure is. The pants are hemmed and stitched in a gold thread around the pockets, functional belt loops, and trouser legs. There are copper studs down each of the pant legs only on the front. Glued again, not attached in a better manner.

The chaps are bumless. Made of a flimsy faux suede material with velcro back closure and velcro closure around the trouser legs. The embroidery is pretty and the hanging fringe is a cute touch. The silver belt buckle is for show not function.

Her riding bag is cute. Canvas with her name and the horseshoe ironed on. The bag drawstring is dark brown and braided like boot strings.

The cowboy boots are a strange purple. They don't match anything. I don't know why they didn't give her a dark brown pair or something to match the brown on the chaps. They have back velcro closure and are very thin. No lining on the inside at all. Snakeskin pattern at the top, embroidered in the middle and more snakeskin at the bottom. Small heel. Not sure how she'll do standing in them yet.

This seemed very thin quality wise and the color choices disappointed me. I gave it all a C.

I agree. I thought the purple boots might be different(good), but they are a weird shade of purple and don't really match to me.

The shirt is kinda weird in that it looks like it should have been two shirts, but do kids really wear knit T shirts over cotton blouses?

I would rate the outfit a C or B- I can't decide...

I was really disappointed in this outfit as well. Many of the same reasons that Monica gave us.

I mean what is up with AG not hemming items anymore? Trash! I feel like the chaps are paper thin and could tear if kids aren't SUPER careful with them.

Greatly disappointed.

I actually like this outfit. Although there are some bad points (...interesting... colors, unhemmed sleeves) I like it overall. I don't think the sleeves would come undone unless you're really rough with the shirt (I know, kids... but if you're that rough with your things maybe you shouldn't have an 87 dollar doll anyway). I really like the cords, as well as the boots. I give it a B+!

Oh I forgot to add in that if you put a pair of undies on under there from AG the pants are a low rise and her underwear shows. never thought our doll was gunna need a thong. LOL! Don't get me wrong, I think the outfit is cute. I really like the pants. I guess I am hung up on the lack of undies.

We just got this outfit for Nicki, and I think it is one of my favorite AG outfits. LOVE the purple boots and the pink chaps. Can't wait to get the hat too! :-*

I like this outfit and I can see why some people are upset with the sleeves but I accualy think they are suppose to be like this, possibly to give them more of a vintage and cow-girl look. Then again I don't have the outfit yet so I will have to wait and see.

I pretty much agree with everyone else on this. I don't like the unhemmed sleeves, looks too unfinished to me. And I don't care for the color choices either, seems a bit too mis-matched. And NO SOCKS!! Who wears boots w/o socks? Even DD asked where the socks were as she was putting it on Marisol (who apparently is now a horse-loving dancer!) for the first time.

I give it a C also.

I wish they made it with matching colors! I really do not like the purple boots! I would also have to give this a C!

Sorry but giving the a B+ only because of the velcro at the back of the boots but I suppose it would be impossible to get them on and off any other way..It Still annoys me but her meet boots are the same.

Love the Colors..
I agree with the sleeves for being a vintage/Work look.

I had not planned on getting this outfit. DD loved it. It was much cuter in person than on-line or in the catalogues. Overall, I am please with it. I substituted her body suit for the shirt and I really like the eyelet with the cords and chaps. I like the purple boots.

I love the outfit, even though I almost never put it on my ag. The shoes are actually my favorite part, I don't really like them With the outfit though.

I have a friend who has #3 and she got this outfit for her. The shirt's my favorite thing about it. The colors are pretty and look very nice on blond dolls. The bag is really nice and well made. I like how it looks too. But the boots are well...I hate them. B-
