 Dance Duffel and Rascal
« Thread Started on Jun 8, 2006, 3:44pm »

I think that the energy bar is a waste of space. Rascal seems more "scaled", and he's a fluffy lil' critter. Really cute, but just a stuffed animal all the same. The cell phone is really neat because it has a working clock and calendar. I think the bandage has a lot of potential play value, and the bandaid stickers are adorable. The water bottle is more to scale than Jess's, but the top does not come apart or isn't as sophisticated as Jess's.

I was a little disappointed with this set. I give it a B.

The duffle bag could be more realistic, not to mention most of the items. The cell phone, the bandage, and her id tag stand out to me.

I agree. I wasn't overly thrilled with the bag, it's kind of cheapy. The cell phone is really cute though!

I think this is a pretty cute set. My favorite part of Marisol's meet accessories would have to be the cell phone, followed by Rascal. I really love Marisol's ankle wrap as well, but I do not like how easily it snags. I think that the bandages are neat, but I do not plan to use them because I don't think the stickiness would last too long if I did. I also have yet to use the earrings. When comparing the water bottle of Marisol and Jess, Jess' is by far the best. I do have to agree that Rascal is not at the accurate scale size and could be just a bit larger, but not too much more. I do like the dance bag that comes with the set. I give Marisol's Meet Accessories an A-, due to some of the pieces in the set.

This is an adorable accessory for Marisol. She has to have her cat...he plays a big part in her story. We don't have the ankle wrap, energy bar nor bandages.

The cell phone is by far the cutest of the set. It actually displays the time when you open it up. It doesn't stay open by itself though, so you can't pretend that Marisol is talking on the phone.

I love the tiny ID card with the picture of Marisol the doll on it. Absolutely adorable.

The water bottle is cute and sturdy. The lid does not come off. I happen to like this better than Jess's water bottle.

Rascal is most precious. We love cats around here and would have to have bought Rascal even if we didn't have Marisol.

What I don't like about the set is the quality of the ribbon style shoulder strap to the duffel bag. I'm afraid it will tear easily. They should have made that out of something more durable than a velvet ribbon.

Rascal and the duffel set (what we have of it)

Grade A overall.

This set is cute enough. The duffel bag is just what any dancer carries to and from lessons, and I enjoy stuffing little trinkets inside it (playing cards, to amuse while waiting for stage cues). The accessories that do come with it (sheet of band-aids, ace bandage, water bottle, energy bar, keychain/ID) are cute, though to be honest, they just sit in the duffel, not really getting played with. The cell phone is a cute prop in albums, but the clock part doesn't work anymore (and I'm too lazy to change the battery, so yeah).

Then there is Rascal, dubbed Milagro here--I love this little guy! :) I don't have many AG pets, but this one is my favorite. I much prefer him (though mine is a her) to Licorice any day.

Grade: A

Rascal (Milagro):

;) Ok am I the only one that thinks it's kinda cute that Marisol's Id is the address for the American girl store in Chicago? I will see if i can obtain a close up picture of her Id.

Store Address
111 E. Chicago Avenue
Chicago, IL 60611
1-877-247-5223

Oh and just in case anyone needs to replace their cell phone battery the size is 377 and I still have the instruction sheet.

This was the one accessory of Marisol's that I was hell-bent on getting for her, and MIB at that. I am so glad to have it. Huge thanks to Firinel, who made it possible :-*

I love all the pieces, particularly Rascal and the cell phone. Great detail with the bandaids, bandage and energy bar and the ID card is very cute indeed. While Rascal may not be perfectly to scale, he is sooooooo sweet we really don't care, we just adore his fuzzy smooshed-in little face round here. And Mari is very glad indeed to have her kitty!

Overall A.
