Marisol ~ A+
I recently purchased Marisol at an elevated price due to her retirement, yet I do not regret that decision.
Her hair is absolutely gorgeous! It is so thick and such a lovely color. Whereas I was concerned about having yet another brown-eyed girl, her face mold with a more pronounced chin and the coloring of her skin paired with the light shade of brown hair make her simply irresistible!

We purchased Marisol about a month after she first came out. She was perfect! I just recently discovered that our Elizabeth's face is thinner than our Marisol's so we must have one of the chubby cheeked Mari's. Her hair, skin, and eye color combination is absolutely gorgeous. She's one of the prettiest AG dolls I've ever seen. Her hair has the shorter pieces all throughout her wig, making it easier to style in an updo or just about any hairstyle. It's wavy so it keeps a curl well and isn't prone to flyaways and it's just the right length so it doesn't knot up badly like Josefina's. I rate her a A+!!

I love Marisol and was very fortunate to be able to get her for DD , She is so pretty and of all the dolls looks most like DD. She is probally one of the most beautiful dolls I have ever seen. She looks wonderful in both historical and AGOT clothes.. She is stunning!! Highly Recommended!!!

Marisol is just GORGEOUS. Lindsey may be CUTE, but Marisol is GORGEOUS. I love her beautiful skin tone, deep brown eyes, and lighter brown curly hair. I love how you can style her hair any which way, and it still looks as curly as ever with a few spritzes of water. My Marisol also has just enough coloring in her face to look great without having too much "makeup." The only downside to her is she is quite skinny, but I guess that is all newer dolls. Though mine isn't as skinny as some I've seen.
Anyway, I give the doll an A+.

DH purchased Marisol for our Anniversary in Jan. the year of her release. I got the first version and love her. She is so beautiful. I think the color of her hair is what makes her so unique!

I definately give Marisol an A+. She is one of the prettiest dolls that AG has made. The hair color is really pretty and the length of it is perfect. I love the effect of her complexion. Her hair, eyes and skin tone all look really beautiful together.

I went through a few marisols before I found one I wanted! One was way too skinny, another had one eye that didnt open and shut right, etc... finally the lovely lady pictured below came to my house and I knew she was it! She's not one of my favorites, but for keepsake purposes I had to get her, I really think her outfits are cute too!

A++
Marisol was my first AG so I'm a little biased about her, but she is an absolutely gorgeous doll! This face mold is just very pretty, and her coloring is beautiful. She has the prettiest hair...the highlights in it make it a very rich brown, and her curls are wonderful. I would say she is a very playable doll for young girls because of her hair. The only downside to her would be her Meet outfit. It's cute enough, but extremely trendy. I'm not sure I will like it very much 5 years from now.

Of the LE dolls so far, Marisol is my favorite. I never thought I would collect an LE doll, but the second I saw Marisol, I fell in love with her. Marisol has the most amazing hair and skintone. Asides from my Maia (#21), she is probably one of my favorite dolls. There is just something about this doll that I adore so much. I have her whole collection, but the things I like least are the stage and the jazz outfit. The jazz outfit is okay, but I just love the other outfits in this collection so much more. I am so glad to have Marisol, and for anyone else thinking of getting despite ebay costs, get her! You will not regret it!

This was the first LE doll that I decided to purchase. She is also the most beautiful in my opinion.
I am curious, does she have the same headmold as Josefina? If not, they look almost identical. The picture of Josefina on the website makes it look like her face is slightly fuller.
I have Bitty Baby (Cailey Marie), Marisol, Felicity, Elizabeth, Jess, Nicki, Ivy, AGT #21 (Lauren Elizabeth), Kit, Mia, Coconut, Licorice and all of the Bitty Bunch

Marisol is a beautiful doll and my favorite limited edition. I love the slight curl to her hair and her hair color is just perfect with her skin tone. This is actually my second Marisol. I bought one from AG when she was available and later sold her. I really regretted selling her and was afraid I was going to have to pay big bucks to replace her after she was retired. But, I got lucky and found this one on eBay without a box or her accessories for a very reasonable price. I called AG and was able to replace her accessories. She's wonderful!

I too LOVE Miss Marisol! Ours is Marisol Clara...sometimes called just Marisol, other times just Clara. Clara suits her because she looks like Josefina's older sister Clara, and also because she looks like the Clara character in Isabel Allende's "The House of Spirits." I really can't say enough good things about Marisol...I love her coloring, love her long silky hair, and her cute expression. This dolly looks good in clothes from any era. Marisol's meet outfit gets a big "eh". It works best when used as mix n' match peices. Here are a few pictures of our beauty:

I bought my Marisol the summer she came out. I give MY doll a B- because of what she looked like when she came.
When I got her, it was a hot thick summer, I spent most of my time swimming. I got her later one night and when my mom brought her to my dad's, I said, "Where's the shipping box?"
She came in just a doll box. O.o not brown box or peanuts. To this, I was dissappointed. The box was dented on the corners and edge. When I took her out, her head was a wee bit loose and her left eye stuck. O.x Yeah, that's really what a girl my age really wanted to see. I stood her up, but didn't care much, for she was my first and ever american girl doll!
Now the outfit, I love big time. And for that matter, she is the only doll that wears it! lol. The little clip on the purple sweater broke so I just tuck it in. And I lost her hat but Recently AG said there is a replacement one. Her hair was long and gourgeous, but now she needs a head replacement..
I have tighented her hair but due to an accident (or a few actually) The heat ruined her hair cause' I played with her constantly, and her left eye sticks even worse.
But she was well loved and I am happy with her. She was my first ever AG doll and I remember my friend trying to talk me into picking Nellie at first lol.
Overall I rate her an A-. If she didn't come the way she did she would get an A++++++++!!!
~~**HAPPY HOLIDAYS!**~~ My Dolls: Back row-Jess, Nellie, Kailey Second row- Samantha, Julie, Marisol, Kaya First row- Josefina, Sarah Nicole (#14) Dolls I want: Jocelyn (Rebecca- mini me), Elizabeth, and Chrissa(Will be re-named).
Since I hadn't seen anything posted here regarding Pleasant Company neckstamp Marisol's and American Girl Neckstamp Marisol's, I thought I would add some pictures.
They're not the greatest of pictures in showing things like the difference in coloring of the dolls but Ive done my best for now. If you want more pictures just ask, Id be more than happy to post more.
AG Neckstamp on the left, PC neckstamp on the right
Here's a closeup of AG Neckstamp Marisol
And a closeup of PC Neckstamp Marisol
As you can hopefully see, PC Neckstamp Marisol has a much fuller face. Her coloring is a lot warmer than AG Marisol's. AG Marisol look more matted in color.
Here's a couple more shots with different lighting that may help.

Marisol is my all time favorite LE doll. She is just beautiful, and who couldn't love that long soft curly brown hair? It's not hard to take care of at all. Her meet outfit is perfect, I love the colors and as everyone eles as said it come with a lot of pieces to mix and match. Her coloring is also so pretty. A+!

Mairsol is stunning! She is absolutely gorgeous. Probably my favorite LE. I have 2 Marisol's. One is a TLC beauty and the other is wonderful doll purchased from a board member. They're both stunning, and I love them dearly. Her meet outfit is very cute. I use all the pieces a lot in mix and matching outfits.
I got Marisol in April of 2009. She was my first eBay doll and my first LE doll. When I got her, I was honestly stunned at how pretty she is. I couldn't look at her for weeks.
Mine has the Pleasant Company stamp on the back of her neck, long golden brown hair, and dreamy brown eyes. Her hair is long and thick and fun to style.
I too enjoy my Marisol. She has an awesome meet outfit, Beautiful hair thats easy to brush, and a pretty face mold. I give this doll an A- only because her hair get difficult over time.
For some strange reason that seems utterly ridiculous now, I decided when Marisol was available from AG, that I didn't want her. Typically, once she was gone I regretted not getting her but I had made the decision and vowed to live with it.
And, I held out until July '09, when, armed with Mrs Mac's LE price guide, I started combing Ebay. Marisol arrived home a few weeks later and I'm SO glad I gave in!!!
She is the prettiest doll with the most glorious hair I have ever seen on a doll. She looks good in everything and seems to have the sunniest disposition. I just love my Marisol.
