This is another feminine outfit with nice detailing that is a great addition to a collection if you are looking for a quality fancy outfit. It is versatile enough that it can be worn seasonally beyond the holidays. I do agree that this is not an outfit for a young child to play with: the wrapping of the sweater takes some dexterity; the detailing is gorgeous but delicate; and the tights are snag-worthy even for an adult. It came with 4 jaw-clips for dolly 'dos, which are quite tiny as those things often are and thus easily lost. I really love the flouncy, shiny skirt and have not had any problems with tears. The sweater is boxy but soft enough when tied to look nice on both PM and Mattel dolls. I've not had problems with pilling but the beading on the sleeve edge has gotten loose over time. I like the extra touch of the sheen to what AG marketed as "dancing shoes", which elevates them a step above plain MaryJanes. I give the outfit an A as an adult collector; because of the delicacy for a child's toy, it would get a B rating. It still can be found available regularly enough on the secondary market for original retail or slightly above, depending upon condition.
I think AG tried to emulate and update this look when it offered the Frosty Party Outfit in 2011!
