*This set was retired in 2011 and the cake combined with the China Tea set and renamed "Molly's Birthday Set"*I was looking and comparing pictures of some items from my early catalogues to current items. I was looking specifically at Molly's party treats in my Holiday 1991 catalogue. Here are all the differences in the editions that I can see comparing the picture from my 1991 catalogue to the current AG version: The older cake has flowers on the side of the cake that look more like stars (as they are pointer) and the loops come down only half way on the sides. There are more flowers at the bottom of the cake edge that aren't connected to the loops. I know the sets available now don't include the blow-outs. And, it appears Molly's candies in the cups were actually many individual pieces originally and not molded into one big piece in the cup like now, plus the candies in the cups don't come to the top of the cup like they do now. The balloon holder is also not the same as it was in the beginning. The older balloon holder appears to be more cylinder shaped, while the more recent holder, from the side, looks like a "D" shape. These are all the changes I spotted. I have a hunch the original version is HARD to come by on e-bay since the individual candies were easy to lose and the paper cups are probably long destroyed.
