While Dad is away, Molly and her family often eat their meals in the kitchen instead of the dining room, with a set just like this one. The 1940s-style kitchen table has rounded corners, shiny chrome trim, and a cherry red formica top, like tables still found in diners all over America. Also includes curvy chrome chairs with cushy padded seats and buttons on the seat backs.
I finally got these and am very glad that I did. The table is HUGE. It's 15" x 12" and stands 9 1/2" tall. You could easily put four if not six chairs around it and it's really too bad AG quit selling the extra chairs for it.
The 'formica' top is just plastic. The 'chrome' around the table edge is plastic too. The underneath side of the table top is solid white plastic. The table legs and chair legs are metal.
It's really constructed quite well and I don't have trouble keeping a doll sitting on the padded, vinyl seats. They kind of 'stick' too it like you would on a vinyl car seat on a hot summer day.
