Holiday Accessories (2010)

I bought these to complete the Ruby & Ribbon Dress set I bought for Caitlin.
The set consists of:
-a pretend present
-three sets of earrings: two stick-on and one earring post and dangle set for dolls with pierced ears
-a hardbound book called The Night Before Christmas
-a bracelet
-a purse
I love this set. I think it is cute and unlike some of the previous accessory sets sold with holiday outfits, I like how everything has a purpose and simply adds to the outfit. The book is a nice touch.
The pretend present is red and white with a red ribbon. The box opens up to reveal a set of pierced ear posts and a set of dangles. The posts are silver with pretend diamond studs and the dangles are also silver with clear pretend stones on them that match the stones from the Ruby & Ribbon dress. The stick-on earrings are completely worthless. I can't even get mine to stay on the paper inside the box. One set is supposed to look like pearl studs and the other set silver studs. I've already lost mine. As Stephen King would say, "no great loss." At least when it comes to the stick-on earrings.
The book is way cute. It is perfectly doll sized and is a kid's book called The Night Before Christmas. The book is hardcover with a dust jacket.
The bracelet is adorable and very trendy. It has three strings of faux pearls and a huge heart charm. The clasp is a pain for an adult to use, however. Its just like the clasps from Lanie's bracelets.
The purse is white faux fur and has a velcro opening inside. You can store the jewelry from this set in the purse and the dolls can carry the purse.
Overall, this set adds a lot to the Ruby & Ribbon dress and many of its pieces can be used for mix and match.
