I have both.
I got the PM one around 1994/95. It's nice that PC tried to make it the way Molly made her's in the book..... But it falls apart if you look at it funny. I knew my mom paid a lot of money for it and I had to take care of it. But every time I touched it one of the green paper stripes fell off. Eventually, I just packed it away and didn't touch it. The only part I really used was the sweater.
I bought the Mattel version this year. It is MUCH more durable. I'm not afraid to use it. I'm considering buying a second Mattel one for Emily.
If you want to sell one, sell the PM one. It goes for more on the secondary market. I don't think many survived playtime with them. Personally, I would hold on to it until Molly is retired THEN sell it.
