Kanani Doll and Meet Outfit

I picked up my first Kanani on 1/1/11. After just a few weeks of brushing, very carefully, her hair was horrific, the curls were all flattened down and that's why I flat ironed it. I've had my current girlie for a month now and brushed her hair even more than Kanani #1, I've braided her hair, twisted it, etc, and it's still just as gorgeous as it was out of the box!

Did they possibly change up the wig in the 5+ months since I got her, or did I just grab a Kanani this time with a better wig? It does seem to be curlier farther up her wig than Kanani #1.
