Camper and Gear

I have owned this thing for nearly two years now. Mine has survived two moves: one from Utah to California and one across a city in California. My Lanie is possibly the second most spoiled doll in my collection, and along with Josefina, is a doll I actively seek small accessories for. I decided to review this thing after nearly a year and a half of ownership. Overall, I love it. What I hate about it is that it is a pain in the butt to move. During the move from Utah to California, the entire hitch came off the front, so the camper was being supported by the wheels and the two front supports. No big deal on that one: both the smaller piece and the bigger piece just snap right back in.
During the second move, the right front support popped right out, despite being screwed in. I had to tip the camper over onto its side, remove the screw, replace the front right side support back into its hole, and use a screwdriver and a mallet to get the thing back in. In addition, the very bottom of the camper lost some paint along the bottom as the wooden base scraped the ground during transit. I really, really wish this thing had come with wheels that function. It would have made life easier. The camper is not particularly heavy, it just well, its awkward to carry.
For my Lanie, this thing functions as her trunk; it holds almost everything in her collection, and then some. The pictures show how much crap Lanie has ended up with in the nearly two years I've had her collection around. When I moved, I stuffed the trunk full of doll clothes and other small, but lightweight things, and added Lanie herself.
Overall, I love the functionality of the item. I happily toted it across town, despite the heft. I love having it on display, and its nice to have a room for a doll that is already pretty much made.
Overall grade: B+
