My beam and bar set arrived about two weeks ago. At first, I thought the price was a little ridiculous and didn't really want to pay that much, but the 7-year-old that I babysit (she's like a little sister to me) fell in love with it, so I went ahead and ordered it when the McKenna DVD code came out. I'm so glad I did! The bar is my favorite piece. It is sturdy and well made, and so much fun to play with! I've played with it numerous times since it arrived. I bought this set so that Autumn and I would have something to play with when she comes over, but I never thought I would want to play with it when she wasn't around! Grade: A+

Pepper wanted to try on the sleigh for size. The reigns are just barely long enough to reach his neck and the collar barely closes. But he still looks cute!

DD picked out this outfit during a store visit in DC: she says she likes the stars on the outfit and how the hairstyle looks, she also likes the accessories and how the doll can hula hoop with the hoop. (she dictated her review for me to add!) We do not have McKenna, but Emily is learning gymnastics and happy to wear the outfit! Our hoop started out warped like the photos above, but very quickly relaxed into an almost-perfect circle - maybe because it did not have to travel except to the store? However, in pulling all the items from the box, DD immediately lost the rubber bands for her hair, so we substituted. Emily is a re-wigged Kit and the hairstlye worked nicely on her, though I agree it is far too complex for a young child to do, and I added bobby pins to hold it more securely. Emily has had her hair up for several days and it still looks pretty good. The velcro does snag (sigh) but I think there is no way around that with this kind of fabric. DD took photos for our review, sorry about the toes . . . The whole outfit: Accessories: Close up of the hair:

I echo the above comments. I ended up going way over my budget at AG yesterday, and the set found its way home with me and the parlor. It is an elegant, almost timeless piece that would not be out of place in a formal diningroom today. It is sturdy and although I gulped a bit at the $140 price tag, I am not going to regret this set. It looks great set up with the parlor in the background. A

The parlor set is heavy and sturdy and came very well packed and protected. I love that there is built in storage with the drawers and window seat. As others have mentioned the window seat is a little short and makes sitting awkward but it does work. There is an elastic loop in one corner of the curtain that's supposed to hold it up, but I think a piece of ribbon or something that ties may have looked a little better. The firescreen is embroidered and is very well made. The wood is similar in color to Rebecca's settee, but it has a matte finish where as the settee has a shiny finish. The horse is plastic and looks odd with a blue mane and tail, red blobs on it's body and a wonky looking back leg on one side. The rest of the accessories are great. The ship is plastic, but has fabric sails. The fabric is folded over on one side so you can really only display one side of the ship. The sailor's valentine has a nice rich wood frame. I love that the picture/mirror is 2 sided so you can change the look. I think this would work well in a modern setting too if you change up some of the accessories. Overall I would give this set a solid A. Bench fabric: Fireplace detail: Window seat curtain: Weird, blobby horse:

I just managed to get all 3 in the same place. My Rebecca's apartment is the locale for the Parlor pieces, so they're not all together (or finished yet, but I thought this would give you a sense of the scale.)

I am so pleased that Caroline has a good overall set of meet accessories- especially since this is the historical I will try and get all of what I like, within financial reason. I just wish there was a few more pieces, but the three pieces that did come with it are very high quality, I'm not too disappointed. I LOVE the bonnet the most but the satchel and the top are awesome also, especially when you read the first book. I couldn't get a good picture of the top but here are the other two items.

This is my first AG pet as well- I love his name. I think it is clever for the era he is from, if not a bit obvious- still very cute. The actual pet is okay. He is bigger than what I expected and I haven't been able to get Annabelle to hold him and take a picture but that is my fault. He does look a little creepy but since I love this historical, I wanted the cat. I'd give him an A- overall but I love him personally.

I am one of those who really like this dress, despite it's issues. The decals are disappointing but I love the fabric and the style is wonderful to me. It really represents what I was hoping for in a "winter" frock with the cap top sleeves and the longer sleeve portions. I can't get what Mrs Bennet said in the 1995 P&P too Mrs Gardiner at the Philips Christmas party out of my head when I think about the fashion and sleeve-length. Yes I am a dork.
Anyway, the shoes are very cute and they fit over Felicity's meet stockings- which I put on my Charlotte (55) so she'd look more like Caroline, without the pantalettes of course since I only have the one pair and Caroline was wearing them. The stockings were cream not white but I couldn't tell in the pictures. The shoes were easy to put on also.
I give the outfit an A-.

I ended up ordering Caroline during the pre-order deal with the Personal Shoppers. She was delivered on launch day but didn't get the chance to open her until the next day. Regardless, it was worth the wait! I love this doll, even though she has a classic mold (something that is in abundance with my collection) I wanted the new eyes and the blonde hair, plus she's Regency which sealed the deal. Like the others stated above, she has aquamarine colored eyes, very light blonde curly hair and feathered brows. My dolls' wig is medium thickness with the shorthairs in the back, thank goodness. I am not skilled at doing doll hair but I need to practice so this is a great doll to do it with. The only issue with my doll was the people dressing her were not careful with her sock, and it was bunched up. I took them off the doll, and neither the shoe or the sock were damaged. She has the long body tag and the stuffing on my particular doll is actually perfect I think. Not overstuffed but not lacking anything either. The meet outfit is cute- I love it but I think I will be putting it on another doll for when the modern dolls play "Regency Dress Up". Oh yeah- I renamed her Annabelle, her modern and historical character share this name. I am creating a character in a novel I'm writing and her name fit in the manuscript and with the doll. I read her first book last night and it was very well written- very exciting with lots of conflict to keep the story moving along. Here are some pictures: *mod edit to remove broken image links*

Picture request Rebecca's settee Caroline's parlor. Since I am considering purchasing the settee I was wondering if anyone here actually has both of these pieces and any pictures of them together. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can help. Thank you

It's amazing and has lots of both play and display value. It offers a bit of storage as well. I adore mine, and while I realize it's expensive, I don't regret getting mine at all and would do it again in a second.

I know I have mentioned this before but I need to tell it again. I had been collecting Julie's clothes and accessories for awhile but I really didn't want Julie (or so I thought). Two years ago for our anniversary my (late) DH gifted me with Julie and I fell in love with her. DH made it so much fun because I would set the dolls up with their pets, toys, etc. and if I left the room...I would return to find everything switched around...LOL! The funniest thing was when I walked into our great room to find a human sized banana in Julie's bike basket...LOL! DH nicknamed her "Trouble" because he always claimed he had nothing to do with switching things around or the banana incident...LOL! I love her so much. DH pierced her ears for me in early 2011 and I added somelight freckles. ETA Photos:

I was so excited to receive Lanie's camper!! It is really big and very heavy. The stickers really make it for Lanie! I love how the bench flips up for storage and the message board pulls down for a bed!! The shower is very realistic too. I love all the little things and this is beyond the best of AG items!!! Despite the price, this item was well worth it!! A+ Attachments:

I've wanted Lanie for a year, so I had bought her off ebay and I couldn't wait for her to arrive. She was even prettier in person!! I love the blonde curly hair and hazel eye combo!! I really love her side bangs!!! Her meet outfit is so casual and cute, very Lanie-ish!!! Even though her hair is curly, it's easier to care for than like, Rebecca or Kanani. Lanie's a cutey and on my list of favorites!! A+!

The accessories are great! Much nicer than I had even expected. I did see the chair as most of the accessories were in the smaller box containing the chair. The chair is really cute and sturdy. Seeing the bed up close at AGPNY, I really like it. For those of you who want a "doll room" you really get it with this set. I give the entire set an A+. I think it is worth the money.

I remember buying Kanani the 2nd day she came out for my 4th doll, she's GORGEOUS!!!!!!! ;D I love her hair so much but, I barely touch it because it messes so easily I need to redo it a lot. I love the Jess mold, and it fits her perfectly!! And of course her cute little little hazel eyes which no doll has yet that has the Jess mold. And her outfit is SO Hawaiian!! Not counting the work that goes into her hair, she gets an A+!!

I am very impressed with this meet outfit!! I love pink!! And the skirt is adorable!!! So are the boots, they match but they kinda don't. I wear boots that don't match my outfits too! So these are TOO cute!! I love the little green butterfly on the side!! This is probably my favorite meet outfit AG has come out with so far!! ;D A+!!

This outfit, IMO, is the cutest fashion show set made. The pink Capri's are very nicely made and go on super easily. There is a cute pocket on one side and an embroidered star on the leg cuff. The back of the Capri's has the AG Fashion Show label below the waistband, which is elastic in the back. The Capri's are not denim, but made of "Dockers" like excellent quality material. The Tee is so adorable and made of nice cotton material. No thin cheap junk, you see in a lot of the tee's lately. The three little star burst remind me of iron on decals, but nicely done. The shirt goes on easily with a velcro closure in the back. This piece also has the AG Fashion Show logo on it. The white shoes are a thin canvas like material with a cute elastic bow. Simple but adorable! They go on very easy as well. I am giving this outfit an A+ for excellent quality, being easy to get on and off, and for looking simply adorable in appearance!

I had my eye on this outfit for quite some time and recently picked it up on the Last Chance Sale for $12. I'm going to throw this review up here in case anyone else is on the fence about buying it. Maybe it was the scale of the fabric or the colors, but I really don't think this was a good choice for Bitty Baby/Twin. However, it looks excellent on an 18" doll. I think it would have sold well if it had been marketed for the bigger girls and/or Julie. It very much looks like stuff I remember wearing in the 70's. In short, GRAB IT BEFORE ITS GONE! All the pieces of the outfit go on the 18" doll VERY easily and the dress is nice length. Unlike some BB shoes, the boots slipped right on my doll's feet, even with the tights. Below is a picture of my custom Kailey (whom I use as my 70's girl) wearing the Prairie Dress: Here is another photo with her 70's BFF, Jessica, who is wearing Julie's jumper. Jessica looks great in pretty much everything, but this way you can sorta see the 70's look:

I love Caroline! She is a very gorgeous doll with plentiful ringlet curls and gorgeous aquamarine decal eyes. I also noticed that her eyelashes tend to curl up a bit like Marie-Grace's do, but not as extreme. Her meet outfit is ok. A- for the total doll due to the meet outfit, a resounding A+ for the doll alone. (Sorry for the awful lighting - it it going to rain over the next 24 hours, so it is super cloudy outside.)

My Lindsey pics aren't as good as the others, but why not? I think she would be a great regency doll. Her hair is pretty easy for me, I just put it in rollers every once in a while and fluff it up. I give her meet boots a C-, because they're cute. (They look great with the meet top and Julie's Skirt Set skirt!) However, they stained Mckenna's feet, and almost everytime I tried to take them off/on her some of the stuff on them pulled off. BQRV7W5!wQ~~60_57.JPG) mQ~~60_57.JPG)

Okay - I love this girl. Her coloring and hair are so perfect! I have never been good with curly hair (i.e. - Lanie, Nicki) because if you mess it up it really shows. That is not the case with #58 from my experience. I've pulled hair bands, shirts and helmets on this girl's head and her hair just bounces back. Her hair is thick and crazy. Really crazy. I like it that way. I'm sure a few minutes of finger curling will tame those curls but that's not who my Anana is. My #58 (named Anana by my 6 year old niece - I think she couldn't figure out how to spell Hannah) has a hearing aid in her left ear. I love this option that AG now offers. Front view of my new little beauty Back view of her hair Right side view Left side view. She definitely has more hair on her left side. #58 looks amazing in bright colors. Here she is in the 1999 Millennium outfit.
