This set was later packaged without the drum and renamed Modern Jingle Dancer Outfit in 2015.
Special Edition Jingle Dress of Today Item# F9452 $64
Modern-day girls from the Nez Perce tribe often dress in beautiful garments like this one for pow-wows. This set includes: A bright-pink satin dress with long cuffed sleeves, an embroidered belt, and two rows of metal jingles attached to ribbon—they make beautiful sounds when the dancer moves Knee-high turquoise boots with embroidered flowers A feathered hair comb and two embroidered hair ties A faux-leather drum and a drum mallet like the real ones that keep the beat for singers and dancers at pow-wows
This outfit was released on February 13, 2014. The bright colors of this outfit are exactly like the images of girls today dancing with their tribes in their colorful jingle dresses! Beautiful! I'd like to point out that AG does not call this "Kaya's" Jingle Dress on the web site nor on the box it comes in. They refer to it only as "Jingle Dress of Today"
Kaya looks so bright in her new dress. The hair ties, hair comb, vest, belt and boots along with the clovers/hearts on the dress are all machine embroidered. The jingles and designs are only on the front of the dress, belt and vest.
The dress, belt and vest are all separate pieces. The vest, belt and boots are pleather. The boots have velcro on the back for ease of use.
The drum has a screen print image on it. The back of the drum has an elastic strap so Kaya can hold it. The drum stick has no such elastic to help Kaya keep a grip. The drum frame and the stick are plastic. The 'leather' on the drum is faux, but nice.
This set has a lot of pieces and it is very well made. Grade A

I was just examining this piece in the store and was extremely disappointed that it is made in shiny fake fabric. It looks like a toy costume for Halloween rather than a modern ethnic outfit. Much prefer the turquoise one for a modern selection. And it is overpriced by a lot for what you get and for the synthetic quality. The only things I liked really are the hair adornments and beads on the dress.

I actually like that this a shiny satiny fabric- it fits with my experiences of regalia. I am disappointed that there are not more jingles and I do like the addition of the vest. The hair adornments are a nice touch.
