This set was released in February 2014. In 2015 it was split up, with the outfit being called "Rebecca's Butterfly Costume" and the accessories packaged as "Rebecca's Stage Makeup."
Special edition - while supplies last When she acts in her school play, The Butterfly Queen, Rebecca gets ready with this fantastic costume and theater accessories: A brocade dress with satin sleeves, plus a long train that attaches in back—it even unfolds to reveal beautiful butterfly wings! A golden butterfly headband. Satin shoes to complete her queenly ensemble. A makeup box to help her get ready for the spotlight—it comes with a bristled brush she uses to apply make-believe powder and rouge to her cheeks. A printed program to keep as a souvenir of her starring role.
I received this in the mail today and I am overall very pleased. The quality of this costume shocked me, probably the nicest thing Ive seen AG make. However the butterfly headband has a chip off the top that I am going to call customer service about, so I would check that piece if buying in store. The dress and wings are a nice thick material and the details are stunning. the shoes are nice, though kind of plain. The makeup set seems very nice but I did not open out of plastic because I plan to sell those pieces. I give this outfit an A and I think it is very much worth the money!
** Customer service told me that since its a new item they do not have replacement parts yet and to call back in a few weeks

I have not fully looked at my entire set yet (received today), but I also have the same issue that Shelby mentioned - a chip in the gold crown, almost identical to the picture above. I called customer service and they will be sending a whole new outfit, with a FedEx label to return the one I have.
I will edit my review once the replacement outfit gets in, but I also wanted to warn people to keep an eye out.

I'm a mother who handed down my own childhood PC Samantha and things to my daughter. When I saw this set online I took a leap of faith and ordered it for myself sight unseen. I can honestly say that the quality of the entire dress, wings, and shoes blows PC Sam's outfits out of the water! The material is thick, detailed, silky, and a pleasing shade of periwinkle and gold. The dress features a v-neckline, gathered waistline, stiff golden sleeves and a very cute slit up the back to show off her legs. A very gorgeous dress on it's own. The wings in this set are GLORIOUS and together add a high level of playablity that this dress deserves! The wings are a beauty on both sides either hanging down by her side freely as a train or placed within her fingers and raised by her arms as if in a butterfly's flight! On one side is the beautiful brocade fabric and on the other features the stunning golden butterfly artwork lined with gold very carefully around the edges. The finger loops are a thick golden cord that is substantial and stays in place. The wings velcro around her waist with a thick double ribbon. It is so cute that I do wish it was separate from the wings so it had the option to use as a belt with the dress alone or even as a headband in her hair. Maybe with a loop to attach it to the wings? The shoes are actually heavy with a hard black bottom. The shoe is very thick and hard but with smooth satin fabric around it and lined in soft white felt. They were snug on my old PC Samantha but they did fit fine with a little wiggle. The golden butterfly headdress/headband is a beautiful addition that completes her ensemble. It is not metal but plastic and worn in these two different ways gives her a new look! Cute even with Samantha's bangs! I did receive the headband with a slight chip on the top right wing so this is a piece I'm ordering as a replacement part for incase it get's lost, chips, or breaks. Then there's the collection of makeup which skyrockets the playablitiy of this set even higher! The box is lovely! The mirror is quality surrounded in gold with golden ribbons at the side. The material is thick and hard and of substantial quality. The blending powder and rouge are detailed and cute little cardboard containers. Included is a soft bristle brush and an adorable white felt circular blending pad. Both my daughter and son have been playing with this set for days since I received it. Fun Fun Fun!!! We also ordered Rebecca's costume chest, and phonograph which I will review also and already have plans this year to add her (metal) hair curling iron accessory set, the activity doll STAR book, and the Rebecca doll! I would love to see more movie themed sets for Rebecca. Namely featuring an authentic period movie camera with crank, lights, and microphone and maybe even an over the top dramatic vanity with rolling costume rack with golden wire hangers for all her spectacular movie clothes!

I love this set! I'll start with the outfit. It comes with a dress, wings, a headband, and satin ballet flats. Detail of the fabric of the dress. Detail of the wings. Some people are unhappy about the gold being printed on instead of embroidered, but I think it's still stunningly beautiful! It's just perfectly eye-catching, shiny, and gorgeous! I was actually unhappy with the shoes. One is much smaller than the other one, and hard to put on the doll. You can see her toes on the foot with the smaller shoe. Here is the dress without the wings. I love the gold sleeves! Back view. To add the wings, you velcro the gold bow belt around the doll's waist. Side view of the dress with wings attached. The shape is really cute from the back! Ta-da!! The wings attach to the doll's thumbs with tiny little elastic loops. The set also comes with a little box of accessories. The box is red with gold and says 1914, Rebecca's year. There is a mirror on the top inside lid. The box easily holds holds Rebecca's two makeup containers, her makeup brush, and the program to the play she is wearing her costume for! The brush is for the rouge, and the powder has its own application sponge. Close up of the program! I give this set an A, almost an A+, but I am disappointed with the too small shoes. I think the dress and wings are drop dead gorgeous, but I wish the headband wasn't such lightweight plastic. The accessories aren't incredibly useful to me as a collector (versus a child who would play with it), but they will make cute accessories in Rebecca's bedroom, which I plan to make in a dollhouse eventually.

I received this today and would agree with the quality and detail except I was really disappointed in the headband. I was expecting metal like Rebecca's curling iron however it's very much plastic.
