This item was introduced in 2014, replacing the Hanukkah Dress. It retired in 2018, and was replaced shortly thereafter by the Hanukkah Outfit.
Rebecca's Holiday Outfit Item# BKF71 Hanukkah is Rebecca’s favorite time of year, and she feels like a star in this outfit: A periwinkle-blue dress with tulip sleeves, a shawl collar, a satin waistband with a decorative buckle, and a tiered skirt with lace and satin trim A headband with pretty flower rosettes White tights Double-strap shoes $34
Dress: A Very pretty color, love the style, and love the soft fabric! I like the two layers & the pretty edging. The only thing keeping it from an A+ is the plastic buckle. I don't mind it too much, but it would have been extra A+ nice to have a metal buckle. It does have the rougher velcro as well, which I'm not a fan of.
Tights: A Basic white tights.
Shoes: A Very cute little shoes. I like the double straps, it makes them a little more unique. Both straps velcro.
Headband: B- Pretty, but very hard to get on without messing up Rebecca's hair. I would have much preferred a clip. Still, I'm glad that they included a hair accessory.
Overall: A- Very pretty dress and I'm glad I got it. The headband & the plastic buckle are holding it back from being truly spectacular though.

The dress is very pretty & the buckle is too but would have been nicer if it was metal. The shoes seem so cheap that I don't think they'll last long, especially if they belong to a child. And they have cheap PLASTIC BUCKLES where the old buckle shoes, like Kit's, had metal buckles. The dress is an "A", the shoes are a failing "D".

I love this set. I don't mind the plastic buckles on the shoes and I don't mind the middle piece being plastic either. This dress makes me think of Dowton Abbey. I think it's very appropriate for the time. Here is my Mary wearing her new dress.
Dress A+. I like the two fabrics they used for the dress. This dress is supposed to be worn during the holiday season but honestly, I think it makes a nice spring dress. I associate periwinkle with spring.
Headband A. Some have argued that the headband is hard to get on. I didn't have too much difficulty getting it on. It does make your doll's hair a little messy but nothing a little brush and a spritz of water can't fix. I didn't give it an A+ because there is a big AG tag that you have to tuck in once it's on.
Stocking and shoes A. Just your standard stockings. I think they are a bit strechier compared to older stockings but then again I haven't bought stockings in awhile. I love the double straps of the shoes. They attach with velcro.
Overall a great set!

Can the buckle be removed? And when I say removed, I mean, I can remove it without destroying it.
I actually find it to be in incredibly poor taste (to the point of offensiveness) that AG would use a Christmas wreath buckle for a Jewish girl's Hanukkah dress. Especially considering the storyline of Rebecca's holiday book. I think the dress is appropriate and adorable otherwise, but if the buckle can't be removed, I have no desire to own it.

Wow, I didn't even notice the buckle was a wreath until I saw the close-ups in this thread. It doesn't bother me too much, but it wouldn't be something Rebecca would have worn, that's for certain!

Where are you getting that it's a Christmas wreath? It looks more like a laurel wreath to me. If it were supposed to be a Christmas wreath, I imagine it would be closer to a circle rather than the oval shape the laurel wreath tends to make.

Especially considering the storyline of Rebecca's holiday book. I think the dress is appropriate and adorable otherwise, but if the buckle can't be removed, I have no desire to own it. I've been reading a lot about Jews and Muslims lately and I just overall do not like this dress based on what I've read and researched. In Rebecca's books it is implied that Rebecca's nicer dresses are for when she goes to synagogue with family, usually during the Jewish Holy Days and New Year. General Jewish modesty standards - observed rather strictly amongst pretty much all Jews until recently - dictate that the sleeves need to fall below her elbows. And as you already mentioned, it has a Christmas wreath on it. The dress is overall in very poor taste. Not at all proper for Rebecca to wear to synagogue, which is when she would have mostly worn it.

Just wanted to point out that wreath buckle on her dress is most likely a laurel wreath which doesn't involve Christianity.
