This version of Samantha's Accessories was released when Samantha emerged from the archives in August 2014. It sold out in December 2023.
When Samantha is out and about, she always brings her favorite accessories:
A golden locket necklace that she keeps close to her heart
A lace headband featuring a pretty two-tone flower with pearly accents at the center
A velvet burgundy purse on a golden chain, just in case she walks by Mr. Carruthers’ Candy Shop—or a friend in need
I agree with Catlin. This set is cute, but there should be more in it for the price you pay. The headband, at the very least, is versatile. It matches not only her meet outfit, but her Special Day Dress and a couple of her older outfits, too. Unfortunately, it has the same problem as the one that comes with the Special Day Dress. There just isn't enough give for it to get over her head easily. I struggled with it as an adult - I can only imagine how kids will feel.
The necklace is much easier to get on. I was hoping they'd make her a pendant this time, instead of a broach. It has two triangle-shaped pieces on each end that connect by clipping them together. I do wish the chain was a little longer. The pendant doesn't open, but it's still very charming, with its little pink and white flower in the center.
I also don't have the original version of her handbag, so I can't compare them. This one is small but is made of good-quality burgundy velvet that matches the sash on her meet outfit. It does open. The gold trim is plastic, but at the very least, heavy plastic that looks real.
If you already have Samantha's accessories from her previous versions, you probably don't need these. If you're getting BeForever Samantha or didn't have the original ones (like me), you'll want this for the necklace and purse alone.
