This item replaces Addy's Undies, which retired in 2007. It originally debuted as part of Cécile and Marie-Grace's collection. You can read additional reviews HERE. In August 2014 it was released as part of Addy's collection, and it retired in 2016.
In Addy's day, girls wore these undergarments under their dresses: A double-hoop crinoline to add fullness to skirts. A ruffled chemise, worn under the crinoline for comfort.

This set was also used originally for the Cécile and Marie-Grace line, but transferred to Addy's BeForever collection shortly after the NOLA girls' archival in 2014. Here are some pictures of the crinoline under a few of Addy's outfits to demonstrate the fit. It definitely works better on some more than others.
Addy's Flower Picking/Kite Flying Dress: The light material of this dress makes the pink crinoline slightly visible through it, and the lumps are very defined. However, the length of this dress covers the crinoline very well.
Addy's Sunday Best: Clears the crinoline well both length-wise and width-wise, giving a nice full effect to the dress overall.
Addy's Summer Dress: Another outfit that works well with the crinoline. Enough length to clear it with material to spare, and wide enough to be fanned out beautifully.
Addy's (retired) School Outfit: The skirt is a little short to clear the bottom hoop of the crinoline, so pink ruffles may show. However, YMMV depending on your doll's body type. This is an older Addy with a chubby body, so the crinoline may work on a slimmer doll that can wear the skirt lower on the waist. No issues with the skirt width-wise.
Lastly, Addy's BeForever Meet Dress: The crinoline works ok under this dress as long as it is tighted higher up on the waist, since there is not that much length to spare. As you can see, it also looks a little confined, like the skirt is a bit too narrow to fit over it properly, and so it can give the dress an odd shape.
