I picked up a beautiful Grace doll today! She has new feathered eyebrows and a new style of freckles, plus side bangs and a darker lip color. Her hair is a dark brown with auburn-ish highlights, and is long, straight, and a little layered. It's not super thick like Isabelle's, and reminds me a bit of MyAG #30's hair except with less layers, so it feels thicker than hers. It's silky and shiny, plus has the little hairs to cover her wig cap. Her eyes are a little brighter in my opinion than the standard light blue eyes, but not quite as aqua as Saige's or MG's. Overall I think she is beautiful, and though she does sort of look like a couple other dolls in terms of hair and face mold, her subtle new features make her unique to me. I looked through several dolls before picking my "Pippa" because some of their bangs were pretty messy or they had uneven eyes, but the only real thing I can think to complain about is that her braid makes her hair super crimped when you take it out (I straightened my doll's after taking the braid out) and the braided section is then much longer than the rest. I still give her a solid A! I'll take more detailed pictures in the light tomorrow, but here are a few I took in the car on the way home, and one in a new outfit in the light of the Christmas tree! ETA: A few more photos You can see her auburn highlights well in these shots:

Sorry I don't have pics I got Grace on her debut day. I have been talking about her nonstop since I grabbed 'the one' off of the shelf. I don't think I've loved a doll so much in a while. Grace is an amazing doll. I love her hair color. It's a beautiful dark brown, with lighter brown highlights. Her side bangs are so adorable. Her eyes are such a beautiful ice blue. Her hair makes her eyes pop, and vice versa. I love the combo of the lighter eyebrows with the dark lip color. The Josefina mold is so flattering on her! I love Grace's meet outfit! The quality is amazing! The boots are so soft! I love the color of the skirt and accents on the shirt. It's not so much pink, but magenta instead. The shirt is adorable. The dolls will definitley fight over it. And the bracelet- I love it. The quality is impeccable.. Overall grade: A+ I apologize that my review is so discombobulated... If you have any questions feel free to ask, because I'm sure my review doesn't help

Grace Doll and Meet Outfit The 18" Grace doll has sparkling blue eyes that open and close, a sprinkling of freckles on her nose, and long dark-brown hair with sideswept bangs and a tiny accent braid. She has a huggable cloth body, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl. She comes with the Grace paperback book, plus her Paris welcome outfit: A white top with a sparkly Paris graphic A pink skirt with a black bow on the front A charm bracelet that Mom gave her Gray ankle boots with gathered straps and bows on the sides Pink underwear
Grace's hair is silky and sleek and her sideswept bangs are quite manageable and stay in place once styled. Her braid is quite nice, but it looks like something that would never look the same again if it was taken out and tried to be put back into a braid. (Echos of Kirsten's darling but no-touch hoop braids?) Grace's hair is longer than the recent GOTY Isabelle's ( comparison photos here), but it also a bit thinner with possibly a stronger end wave. Her hair has many highlights and lowlights in deep gold and auburn giving her hair a wonderful visual dimensionality. Her boots are a soft canvas material and have a somewhat "slouch boot" design. No back velcro opening in these boots, they slip on with ease as is. I like the color and fabric but the canvas/cotton appearss prone to both stains and pilling. Indoor shoes only! Her Tshirt is adorable and top notch as tshirts go, but the skirt suffers the same fabric problems as the boots-the raspberry brushed cotton skirt looked aged and also prone to pilling. The bow on the skirt is a really nice touch and is made out of a more hardy material with a slight sheen to it, giving it the appearance of faux-leather. Finally the included charm bracelet. It is perfect in every way. Love it. The doll and meet outfit, in spite of some questions about the durability of the skirt and boots is a complete design wow. Overall grade: A

Let me start by saying Grace is much prettier in person, the AG website photos do not do her justice at all! There is something about her, every time I look at her I can't help but smile! Here is a picture I my sweet Grace: Her hair is really nice. It is dark brown with pretty auburn-ish highlight. I've had lots of fun playing with her hair, and her side bangs are really cute. She has a unique freckle pattern that I think I prefer to the usual ones. I like her meet outfit. the only thing I'd change is I'd make her skirt a little longer, but that's just me. Over all I'd give Grace a A+!

Just wanted to show how Grace looks in the 2005 Sight-Seeing Outfit. (oddly enough 2005 would have been the year 9-year-old Grace Thomas was born!)
Her birthday is September 17th according to Books 2 & 3

I don't have much to add to other reviews. I will agree that Grace looks better in person than in AG's stock photos and her highlights are beautiful. I did go through 5 Grace's before settling on my own but it was due to her eyes but I finally found my girl. Here is my beautiful, Ayala.

Grace is one of the best dolls and the one that's given me the most excited reaction in a long time. Her hair color and highlights are lovely, her hairstyle is unique, and while the meet outfit doesn't really float my boat I can overlook it. Grace is the best GOTY they've come out with in some time--if you are on the fence don't resist. If she pops up on sale I will certainly grab extras, I would not mind having multiple Graces.
I know people have been put off by Chrissa Redux Syndrome, but IMO she is unique and interesting enough with the hair style/color, lip shade, and freckle pattern to where it isn't that noticeable in person (at least not to me). They would look like sisters, but still two different individuals. I can't wait to get the rest of her collection.
A+++

I just received Grace today, she was picked up by a dear friend of mine from AGPLA. I must say I'm smitten by her good looks! She has become my favorite doll, I'm planning on getting a second one as "spare" later this year. Her outfit is cuter than I thought. The cotton fabric is more consistent than I was expecting. The skirt is a nice girly length. I thought her boots would be made of some swede-like material, but it's more like flannel? That's the only part that puzzles me a bit. ETA: Her skirt is flannel too...... That's odd.... !!! Her bracelet is really adorable. It's a nice weight, and the charms are very well made. Her hair is luscious, a lovely brown color with reddish highlights. Her wig is not too thick, but certainly not thin, either. I like the pink glossy lips and her cute freckles! I am very happy with Grace. If you're on the fence, don't resist. I will post pics of her out of the box soon!!

I received my lovely Grace today and couldn't be happier. I knew I HAD to have her the moment her picture leaked on the web. She is just as pretty as I imagined her to be. Her hair is thinner than Isabelle's but it is not thin at all. It seems very easy to manage. Her lip gloss doesn't seem too bright, but her lips are different color from many other light-skinned dolls that we have. Not a fan of freckles on AG dolls with the exception of Kit and could live without them on Grace but I think they give her charm and uniqueness and non-Chrissa look if you wish. Her hair is brown with some highlights and I find it beautiful. Doll A Meet outfit: I like the style, but I think skirt could be longer. Can't sit poor thing down without showing her light pink undies.T-shirt is stylish in a nice cotton material (I think?), I would totally wear it myself. The bracelet is awesome. Overall: A- With other Josefina mold dolls (please pardon messy background) With Sam and Kaya, showing undies

I do love my Janet, I really do. I like the name Grace, however my middle name is Grace. Clearly her name had to change! She became Janet Katrina King; a future barrister and a current chocoholic. She is named after two barristers who I have come to know an love. Janet King is a character on my favourite television show, Crownies. Her middle name comes from a real-life barrister called Katrina Dawson. Sadly, Tree died at 38 in a terrible tragedy in a Sydney chocolate cafe recently. Both of these people mean a lot to me, so I decided to name her after them. I'm pretty terrible with reviews, so I'll just add my photos instead!

I love the Grace doll, especially her long dark brown hair with highlights. It's a little frustrating to do things with her hair, because it's smooth. In my world, she is Madison Hawke,Sir Handel's cousin.Sir handel is a Thomas & Friends character. Like Sir Handel, she is a arrogant. She often thinks that she is better than Sir Handel. She also like gymnastics. She has a portal, which she can teleport anywhere(it's a necklace-MG's locket) like her cousin. However, she was scrapped as a train so she can't go back to train form.
Here's a pic of Madison.i was pretty hesitant to get her because I thought she would too much like Bridget(#14).But I put them side-by side and they look nothing alike.

Brighton Grace arrived today. Some disappointment on my part because she did not immediately enchant me as I had hoped she would. Josefina mold dolls tend to have a far away look, I've noticed and this doll has that look. If I don't bond with her by the time I take her to get her ears pierced, I may look through the Graces at the store for an exchange. She also has thinner hair than I had hoped. No flaws, however. Notably, her face paint is no darker nor brighter than any of my other dolls. In fact, I may add a bit because I think it does enhance her looks. Some of my boys have naturally dark lips, and so I don't think it's something necessarily made up. A dusting of the cheeks may also happen.
I like her meet outfit despite the hackneyed Eiffel Tower and Paris logo. It's subtle enough. The skirt is cute and versatile enough, and I adore the boots. Would have been on the hunt for them if I'd not gotten the doll.
She really shone in the new TM Meet accessory layers. The deeper color of that raspberry tutu really enhances her coloring and is a great match with the teeshirt that does have subtle silver glitter and raspberry sparkle lines. All jump out with the silver trim of the tutu and the rich color of the skirt. The pale pink of her beret and meet skirt really do not do Grace justice. The navy of the vest in the TM layer set is also a winner for Grace. I don't like the style much, but have to say it looks good on her. I also favor her in the True Spirit beret that works well with that tutu.
She is very different looking, mainly because of her freckles and unique wig, when I put her among my other dolls, and I feel I want a Grace doll in my collection.
I give the Grace doll concept a 9 out of 10, but my match with the doll right now is hovering at the 6 level. I'm going to give it some time.

I also received Grace today. I had ordered her with the free shipping so I did not personally choose her. Actually I am disappointed in the one I received. I do not like the bangs on this one. They do not look like the side swept bangs, that I am seeing in all the beautiful pictures that I see from AGPT members. I I also may go to the store and exchange her. I was there a few weeks back and one really captivated me, but of course I do not expect to see that "one". But hopefully will find one that I will be smitten with. Also, the new boxes are so much more difficult to remove the cover off.

I know I've already said it before, but I truly love this doll. She's got such a sophisticated and mature look to her. She could most certainly pass as being a teenager (which my Janet is):

I ordered my gorgeous Amaya ( Grace) on January 1st and received her on January 10th. My first response was " oh lord " I wasn't that thrilled of Grace but I absolutely loved her after I fixed up her hair and bangs! They can come VERY MESSY so be aware that these are a little difficult to manage. My doll has one thing wrong and its not major its just her right eye is tilted in a way that its not awfully noticeable but when you notice it its just a curse you cant forget it basically but I kept her cause her and my Chrissa ( GOTY '09) has the same issue ! so just be aware of this. I do love her hair, eyes, freckles, face mold, face paint just everything I love her completely! The outfit..... well.. where do I start... its very plain... the skirt is poorly made.. I'm sure a little kid could make it .... its thin and ugh poorly made but I still use it The shirt is nice I pair it with jeans or capris The boots are my favorite part of the outfit I pair them with everything they are just DARLING! The bracelet is VERY difficult to put on and I gave up but now that ive had practice with it the bracelet goes on much better with minor difficulties. Overall: B+ Doll: A+ Outfit:C+ I do suggest if anyone wants her to order her

Grace is a pretty doll; I love the highlights in her hair and her cute sprinkling of freckles. Her bangs are also nice on her; mine has pretty full side bangs. My mom and I ordered her with her ears pierced for the exclusive earrings. I like them but I don't get why they give her two pairs of red hearts. Why they couldn't make one pair pink or something, I have no idea. Or some pink gems. Her shirt is cute, although I wish the pink stripes were done a tad differently; I kind of wish that they went "behind" the graphic instead of in front. Still, it's a cute, casual top. I like that the stripes are glittery. The pink skirt is cute but nothing really spectacular. I like the bow on it and it would be good for mixing and matching. Grace's boots are cute. I like the bows on the sides. I haven't yet opened the bracelet so I can't really comment on that yet. Here is an opening and review video that I made about Grace (*note that my Grace isn't actually officially mine until Christmas but my mom let me open her to review her). And some photos: A comparison with my mom's Linda (fka Chrissa):

Might as well add my photo review before Grace's year is up. I purchased Grace #1 on New Year's and exchanged her for #2 several days later after admiring member's photos posted here. If given the chance, one does have to carefully inspect the dolls in store because I do notice a lot of variation in the bangs, eyebrow placement, and potential eye wonk. Due to release day crowds, Grace #1 was practically grabbed off the shelf with a quick glance at 3-5 dolls displayed nearby. Learned my lesson and returned to the store on an empty weekday to pick out a doll with a face I liked better. The store employee was a bit surprised when I went to exchange the dolls, but she understood the collector mentality and said she was the same way about food . I've eyeswapped mine with Caroline eyes but think the doll looks beautiful as is. Not much a fan of the meet outfit. Possibly one of the worst "designed"; it's absolutely tragic IMHO. That's doll #1 in the first set of photos and #2 on the bottom. Doll: A Meet: D Bracelet: A

Grace is my second GOTY that I own. I got her during Labor Day weekend in St. Louis.
I did and did not plan to get her at all. My mom's name is Grace and she loves the French Patisserie in Epcot, so I thought it would be cool. And I love baking, even though I'm terrible. She is my doll that I bought with my first summer internship money!
She's beautiful. Her hair is gorgeous and flowy. It's difficult to style because of the layers, and I don't want to take out her braid. I love her look. She doesn't seem as spacy as some of my other dolls. Her gaze is very warm and focused.
Her meet outfit is cute. I wish the colours were slightly more in tune with the rest of her collection. White top, bleh.
Her underwear is pink. Plain.
But let's be real. We're all here for the bracelet. Just rip it off the side of the box.

We love our Grace!
She has a fantastic wig, one of the prettiest colored wigs AG has done thus far. I will say I think she looks best with her meet hairstyle kept intact, maybe something about the bangs? Hair A
Her eyes are a pretty blue but I wish they'd have been a little more original, maybe a blue green mix? Eyes B
The new freckles and eyebrows add a nice touch to make her more unique. Face A
Her meet outfit is super cute, love the boots and the bracelet is precious! Outfit A+
Overall A

Grace is a doll that I really, REALLY do not like, but for really specific and personal reasons, haha. Mainly it's her side bangs. I don't like the way AG does them now: they were much nicer when they did them the way they did Lindsey's (under the wig). My Grace has had an eyeswap and her bangs removed, and I think she also looks much, much nicer with darker eyes. The combination of the blue eyes and her highlighted wig always made her look a little too middle-school "mean girl" to me. I appreciate that others like her, she just didn't fit the way that she was in my collection. (I looked at Grace in the store when she was GOTY and passed on her because of the bang situation--later, she was given to me by a friend who was cleaning out her doll collection, so that's how she ended up here http://instagram.com/p/B-BHMp8BQLB (After I changed her up, just for reference. I think getting rid of the blue eyes makes all the difference.) http://instagram.com/p/CAREjpDhqQA

Grace is a doll I do not like either. Her bangs look odd and the highlights in her hair do as well. She just looks too old for nine. I like her freckles though. I do think her charm bracelet is adorable.
