In Rebecca's day, swimsuits looked very different than they do now! Her 1914-style beach set includes:
A purple tunic-style swimsuit with contrasting pink trim on the V-neck, a contrasting belt, and crisscross detailing with buttons on the sides
Snug-fitting bloomers
A pair of matching lace-up swimming boots
Cuffed calf-high socks
A slouchy pink knit hat with a brim to help shade her face and a cute bow accent on top
A folding beach chair
A postcard so Rebecca can share her seaside fun
WOW! I can't believe I'm the first to review this... and I'm not even using it for Rebecca. (rofl)
This review is for the use of the Seashore Set with Kit. When this outfit came out there was a lot of talk about how it was inaccurate and inappropriate for Rebecca's era and culture. It was stated that this swimsuit would be more accurate for the 1920s and 30s. So I bought it for Kit! I wasn't collecting when Kit's swimsuit was out and I just flat out like purple better.

Please excuse the fact that I don't have the whole set pictured. I really expected there to be other reviews. I swapped out the purple boots and socks for Emily's sandals. And the postcard is tucked away in Kit's desk. Important Note: the postcard was just loose in the box. Not even in a plastic sleeve or anything. Check your box carefully before throwing it out!
The hat I haven't quite figured out yet. I'm not sure if I have Kit wearing it correctly or not. I'm not sure I'll use it a whole lot. I don't think it's quite right for Kit's era.
The chair is the same kind of chair that AG sold for Kit to go with her swimsuit. The biggest difference is that Kit's chair is wood, while Rebecca's is very, VERY PLASTIC! But considering that you get a complete outfit and a small piece of furniture for $48, you can't really complain.

Hopefully somebody else will review this for Rebecca.
