Released in 2014 as part of BeForever rebranding in a different outfit than Mattel Kit. Retired in November 2023, several months after Birthday Collection Kit's release.
Clever Kit Kittredge has brilliant blue eyes that open and close, a neat blonde bob, and a sprinkling of freckles across her nose. She comes in an authentic 1930s outfit. The 18" Kit doll has a huggable cloth body, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl.
Mods, I hope it is okay to create a new thread. There are no pictures of post-Beforever Kit and there are a few differences with classic Kit, so I thought it would be useful.
Many have been wondering about Kit's new shorter, sleeker bob, so I tried to take as many pictures of my Kit, now renamed Louise, in order to give people a better idea. I find it flattering and very realistic, though I admit I have never closely examined a Classic Kit in order to compare. It definitely is shorter and won't curl against her cheek in that cute way anymore, but people with good dolly hair skills will still be able to have fun with her. In the following picture where she wears a hat, Louise has a full crown waterfall braid. Her wig is reasonably thick for that hairstyle, so her wig cap doesn't show. Her hair is also very, very easy to care for. In all those pictures, Louise had been owned for six months and had never seen a doll brush (though as you may spot on some pictures, her hair has been humidified and finger combed). I am sorry for the flyaways. I hadn't yet dared taking out her little side pony to re-do it and it was getting bumpy.
Though I usually fluff her hair a little more than that, it is super easy to give it back its factory sleekness with a bit of water and finger combing :
Regardless of the hair analysis, she is a very cute doll. I love the wheat colored hair, turquoise (AG calls it deep blue) and freckles combination. It gives her a lot of personality. She is very easy to care for, but more versatile than she first looks like, if you make a little effort. She also looks good in many colors. I love her in blues to show off her eyes, but also in red, though you really can't go wrong. I give her an A+.
