The item was released in 2015 and retired in 2019."As she drifts off to sleep, Maryellen's dreams will be filled with imagination and fun in these adorable baby-doll pajamas—this style was very popular in the 1950s!"Since nobody has reviewed this yet, I shall! I got these since I didn't want her accessories and they were the cheapest outfit(24$) Here they are on her. They're a thick cottony swiss dot with small blue and green flowers. They look very comfy and time period appropriate. My Helen will probably just wear these as lounge wear around the house too The shirt has a total of 4 bows, Two on each shoulder and two where the top splits into a V There's a grosgrain ribbon detailed sewn on the gathered neckline and on the edge of the sleeves They come with bloomer style shorts. They don't have any casing, It's just small elastic sewn on the inside of the pant legs and waistband And green shoes that match perfectly. But I'm not sure how slippery they look The top would be a cute shirt with jeans for a modern or maybe 70s doll(The slippers could be used as regular shoes too) Here's a picture with Julie's meet pants. Gosh she really doesn't look bad in anything These are Cute, Right time period, Good quality fabric, Though I'm a bit disappointed in the bloomer-shorts construction. But I'm not disappointed I got them. I'd give these an A-

This pajamas set comes with a top, bloomers, and pair of green slippers. It was sold from 2015 to 2019 at American Girl and cost $24. The top and bloomers are made of a sturdy white cotton that has a scattered blue and green floral pattern and embellished Swiss dots. This is the same fabric that’s used in the Hairstyling Set. The pieces in both sets are trimmed with bright spring green grosgrain ribbon bows. It’s the cute pairing of these two sets that made me want to get the pajamas. The baby doll top is gathered at a boat neck, with cap sleeves, side slits, and a strip of Velcro up the back. The grosgrain ribbon trim is along the neck and sleeves, with little green bows on each shoulder and at the top of each side slit. While I think the top is cute, the wide boat neck does limit its appeal in my eyes. I think it looks good on dolls like my Jess, whose fabric and vinyl tones match pretty well and who has a pretty smooth neck, but some of my dolls have more gathering and wrinkles at their necks or more of a color contrast between their vinyl and fabric bodies, and I think the wide boat neck on this top calls attention to those issues. The bloomers are gathered at the waist and each leg. Both the top and the bloomers have the American Girl tag/label sewn in a seam on the inside. The green slippers have the ribbon bows, matching the top and other pieces. The slippers are pretty sturdy and have green plastic soles; they could probably double as ballet flat - styled shoes. Overall, I think this is a cute pajama set, but the wide boatneck restricts which dolls I’d use it with. I do think it’s a quality fabric, and it’s especially appealing when paired with Hairstyling Set. On its own, I’d give it a C.
