This item was introduced in 2017 and retired in 2019.Rebecca's Play Dress for 18-inch Dolls Item #DXP09 $32 Rebecca loves to explore New York in this fun and fashionable play outfit. The short-sleeved dress features cuffs and ruffles with decorative button details and a contrast overdress with a sash bow. White tights, two-tone boots, and a straw hat complete the look.I purchased this outfit right away since I collect for Rebecca, and was glad to see an everyday outfit finally released for her. The material is study, though not overly thick. Everything fit mostly well on my BF Rebecca. Unlike the Summer Outfit hat, the hat that comes with the Play Outfit is almost too big, and if not placed in certain ways, it falls easily down and covers her eyes. I also didn't like that there is the long tag attached to the underside of the brim. The dress is also a bit short for Rebecca's time. Otherwise, I like this outfit a lot. New style boots and everyday, regular outfit gets points from me. I wish the hat fit better though. Overall, A-.

I bought this dress for my Jenny Grace, a Grace doll who is taking the role of Nellie's little sister in my doll world. She gets Sam's and Nellie's outfits as well as Rebecca's as I have moved her time period up to Rebecca's years.
The dress is adorable. Brings out those blue eyes. The length is on the short side, but it is a Play dress. I think the length is great for the look of the dress, however. A bit too long might not have been optimal, but it is on the short side.
The hat is a bit tricky to get positioned just right. That is not unusual though with AG hats.
I'm thrilled with this dress. It looked terrible in leak pics, so much better in person. Different from anything else AG has released so I like this uniqueness. Priced decently, and good quality.
I give it an A.

@clover and Jamirae, is the overdress attached, or put on separately? Attached at the shoulders and where the Velcro is.

Rebecca's Play Outfit: The hat's not bad quality wise and I love the blue bow. When I put it away I will put a little tissue in to keep it from going flat again. The dress is actually very thin material and I can see the cloth body through it but otherwise nicely made. The cute little apron is attached at the shoulders and along the closure. The buttons on mine all have a tarnished look to them and I wonder if this is intentional or if mine are off. The tights and shoes fit well and add a nice touch.

It would take a lot, IMO , to detach the the over apron. I wish AG would make it easier at the seams to separate a number of outfits. I've separated some pieces that I wanted to use on their own, and AG attaches those pieces in a way that makes it very difficult to detach and then reassemble. For a non sewer, anyways.

This play dress doesn't seem thin at all to me & I can't see the doll's body through it. Mine is sturdy cotton with nice details like the sleeve cuff ruffles & bodice ruffles. It IS pretty short though & not at all full but it's a play dress, something a girl might wear to the beach in the 1910's. I also really like the well made, jaunty hat & find it super easy to put on my doll. The tights are just tights & the boots are ok, although I liked the old style boots better. They nicely complete the look. Shown here on Rowan McAlpin. A definite A+
