Nanea Doll and Meet Outfit

Nanea was released in August 2017.
Kindhearted, helpful Nanea Mitchell has big, lifelike hazel eyes that open and close smoothly, and realistic wavy dark-brown hair. The 18" Nanea™ (nah-NAY-ah) doll has a soft cotton body, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl. She arrives in an authentic 1940s-style outfit: A button-front pake blouse with an island graphic, Sailor-style moku shorts, Underwear, Shoes with crisscross straps, A faux-hibiscus flower hair clip.
Nanea has medium skin, big hazel eyes that open and close, wavy dark brown hair, and painted on additional eyelashes. She has her own unique face mold with a pointier chin and rounder eyes. Overall, her head is smaller than all of the other molds. In my opinion, it looks too small for her body. She also has a very flat face when you look at her profile. Her eyes are a beautiful light hazel. I noticed that the white part of her eyes seem to be raised a bit from the coloring. I assume this is because she has very round eyes and this helps to hide the metal and make her eyes pop. They are a bit far apart as well. Her eye sockets are so big you can see the numbs that help to make her eye open and close on the inside. The painted on lashes and corners of her eye aren't as noticeable from afar. They are definitely something that will take time to get used to, along with her mold. Her checks don't have much coloring and her lips are a nice medium nude color. Nanea's hair is very dark brown with some lighter brown and almost plum colored highlights. It is nice and wavy/curly. Her hair is pretty thick compared to some of the other dolls recently released. It seems easy to style! I would say on a difficulty level to manage, her hair is in the middle. She really is a sweet doll and is one of the more unique AG has released.
Her meet outfit is one of my favorites. It comes with a working button-down tank top. It is a reddish-orange color with blue and white palm trees and huts. It has a short collar that does not fold down. The material is pretty thin. Her bottoms are high waisted, sailor style shorts. They are white with two small pockets and non-functioning blue buttons. The pockets have three blue stripes on them and actually function. In the back there is stretchy elastic to help get the shorts on and off, no velcro. They are made out of a light weight jean material and the stripes are ribbon. Her shoes are brown sandals with two crisscrossing straps and elastic to keep them on her feet. Mine already fell of once or twice. She also comes with a pair of long white underwear, boy-short style. They are a nylon material and not cloth. To me they look kind of awkward and cheap. Lastly, she comes with a red hibiscus hair clip, that is easy to get in and out of her hair.
Overall, Nanea is a very unique doll. She has a unique mold, eye painting, and eyes. I think her mold and paint is going to take some time to get used to, although it is very sweet looking. I still think she looks like a giant Wellie Wisher, but that is just my opinion. She has beautiful hair that is easy to style. Her meet outfit is pretty adorable and good quality. One other turn down is that she looks like a 5 year old.
