This is a wonderful doll! Mom picked him out at the Columbus store in June 2018, and there were a lot of 77s to pick from, that's for sure!
While this doll is new enough to always feature the new eyes, he's still very cute. I definitely recommend him! Not all of the 77s looked terrible with the eyes. However, the eyes photograph whiter than they actually are, so they are not as noticeable as they look in these photos.
Like so many of the AG dolls, there is a noticeable "thin face" and "round face" version of this adorable little fellow. His wig is the neatest feeling kinky hair that's softer than you think. Very durable, too. Some of the display models had pretty matted hair from having worn hats for a while, but there wasn't one bad wig in all the boxed dolls we looked at. Just taking your fingers to it can puff it out, too! He comes out of the box basically perfect . . . since there isn't any hair issue to deal with, nets, etc.
He's not the darkest skin tone, being definitely on the lighter side of dark. Here is a photo that shows him with several dark AG dolls. He's quite similar to Gabriela. Here is a photo showing him with #67, #58, Gabriela and #80:
He makes a really cute match with TM #58, since she has the curly short hair and is the normal Addy face mold with darker skin. Here are some photos showing him with my Trudy!
And he's a nice addition if you have other boys in the house. He's got a very unique face! This photo below shows Nachito with Eliot (aka Logan) and Benny (customized Nanea).
All in all, I can't recommend this doll enough. If Mom hadn't picked him out, then I just know I'd have had to bring him home anyway! He's a great addition to the doll world, and I would vote him the cutest boy that AG offers!
