*Kit wore this outfit in the movie/DVD Kit Kittredge: An American Girl.*
This dress is adorable. The yellow fabric is a bit thin, but is definitely cotton and has a cute floral print. The belt and collar are made of the same material, and the collar has adorable real embroidery on it. It does close up the back with velcro and the belt goes all the way around.
Dress: A
The shoes feel like pleather and have topstitching around the strap and top of the shoe. There is a very slight (less than Ruthie's) heel on the shoe and I had no problems standing CJ up while she was wearing them. They do close with the no-snag velcro.

And there's a darling little barrette that perfectly matches the colors of the flowers in the dress.
The best part about it is that it has gorgeous colors that are not pink and purple. The fabric is cotton-y and a little faded, as I'm sure would have been the case for a dress made out of a feedsack.
This dress/shoe/barrette combo gets an "A" and I'm sure they are going to sell like hotcakes.

I just got this yesterday, and its adorable. The fabric is very soft and summery, definitely lighter than the scooter outfit and the colors look great on Kit. The shoes are adorable also, although I think they would have been better with snap closures than velcro, still very cute. The barrette however, sucks. Its cheap plastic and way too long for Kit's short hair. It falls out very easily and I don't like it. The meet barrette works much better. Overall, an A for the outfit, with an A+ for the dress, A- for the shoes and a C- for the barrette.
This outfit is my favorite of all Kit's outfits. Even though it's only in her movie, and not in her books, yellow on Kit just looks stunning. The pleats are perfect, it matches with her meet clip and her meet hat. So many things can be added to this dress and still have it match. The flowers I guess give it the variation. The only problem is, the collar is attached in the back due to Velcro. I tend to love to put the cardigan from the school skirt set over top of this dress, but the collar in the back doesn't go over it. Good this Kit's hair sort of covers it up, and it isn't to noticeable.
The shoes are adorable, but I like Kit's meet shoes better. These are an off-white and it throws me off. I just throw these shoes aside.
A+++++++++ for the outfit - beautiful colors, brightens Kit up. B+ for the shoes - Great quality, but they don't tickle my fancy.

This outfit is perfect for Kit. I was so tired of all her other outfits and she really does not have a lot of cute, girly outfits. This dress seems to bring out her freckles more. The shoes: I like the off-white/brown color to these and the velcro fastening on the sides makes it easier to get on and off. The barrette: Feels very light and a bit plasticy but that's fine. The dress: Seems a little snug in the bodice area, but I love the pleated skirt.

I got this dress for Christmas. Normally I wait until I have a doll before I start buying her collection. But this dress was so cute that I couldn't wait any longer. Plus it was bought while it was on the spotlight sale.
The colors aren't quite as bright as they are in the catalog/stock photos, but it still really cute.
Here's Molly wearing the dress as a hand-me-down from her older sister, Jill.
Lanie wanted to try the dress on too.
And the dress is absolutely breathtaking on Emily!
A+

I do like this dress - however I will agree with the others that said the fabric is thin. Personally, it feels cheap. I like the pattern on it though. I don't like this barette either (it ran off for this photo shoot). The shoes are cute, but I don't like the color.
I got this outfit for my Kirsten doll. I however feel that it looks and feels cheap. If I hadn't gotten it on sale on Cyber Monday I would have returned it.

Like SailorMolly, I got this dress for my Molly off eBay as a hand-me-down. (Not to mention all of Molly's summer outfits were backordered at AG's site at the time, and she badly needed summer clothing.) I think this is one of Kit's most adorable dresses. The fabric is a little thin, but that goes with it being a warm-weather outfit. It's the most cheerful, cute print, though.
My favorite part hasn't been mentioned yet. I love that embroidered collar! It really adds a nice feminine touch to the dress.
I LOVE this dress and give it an A. The shoes and the hair clip are a nice touch. The colors and pattern are also nice. Kit loves it and it also looks good on Hannah, my #37.
THE GIRLS
Historical: Molly, Kit, Emily and Ruthie
MyAG: Kylie (#23), Hannah (#37), Emma (#39), Allie (#53) and Rachel (#57)
GOTY: Kailey
Bitty Babies: Helina (blond) and Sarah (brunette)
I purchased the dress locally on Craig's List. It looks very nice on Ruthie and perfect on those hot summer days. I agree with others that it fits a little tight on the doll. I told Ruthie to suck it in for the photo shoot.
