"Marisol arrives fresh from dance class, dressed in satin cargo pants, purple wrap-around top with a pink tank underneath, and Mary Jane shoes with metallic vinyl accents. Her stylish accessories include a crocheted hat and scarf, pendant necklace, and three pairs of stick-on earrings to add flair." Marisol has satin cargo pants with tiny embroidered flowers on the left pocket, right hip and right leg. Her pink tank closes in the back with velcro. The purple wrap-around top closes with a snap and then a tie. The tops are both made of t-shirt/cotton material. Her shoes are metallic gold with a velcro closure and a purple suede stripe across the top area. Her meet accessories consist of a purple crocheted hat, multi-colored crocheted scarf and a necklace. The necklace is just a small flower charm on a cotton strand with a hook at the back. The necklace chain is actually 12" in length which hangs down pretty far on Marisol. It looks better doubled up and then hooked for a choker look. She also comes with lavender undies and two pink hair bands. Everything is made well and looks great on Marisol. Grade A

As AGR's photos above show, Mari's outfit is nicely made. The pieces look good for mix and match potential and all are things I could see a real 10yo wearing. My Mari has trouble standing in her shoes. Without having what you would really call 'heels' they seem a little more elevated at the back. It's only a minor thing though.
The only other thing that took me by surprise was her scarf. It fastens at the back with velcro!!! That seems like an unnecessary complication, it's not hard to tie a scarf, and what if she wants to just drape it round her shoulders? But, again, it's just a minor thing.

My Mari has trouble standing in her shoes. Without having what you would really call 'heels' they seem a little more elevated at the back. That bothers me so much that, even though I love the shoes, I don't use them much. I dislike how the shoes make it look like Marisol is leaning forward! If you paired the shoes with a dress, the leaning thing might not look so bad...but the shoes plus the capri pants don't look right to me. Also, the pendant? I wish the string it was on wasn't so long! Who wears a necklace like that? I mean, seriously? To remedy this, I just double up on the string and use it as a choker. Looks much better this way. The rest of the outfit (pink tank, purple wrap top, crocheted hat, scarf, pink pony-tail holders) is pretty cute. I don't even think I mind that the scarf has velcro. I LOVE the purple wrap top because there are so many mix'n'match possibilities, and the color is so pretty! Grade: A-

I love this outfit for the most part BUT the velcro on the scarf really bothers me. That makes it totally limited. I have no idea why they would add that. It just make the manufacturing more complicated. I must say, as a mom, it would save alot of tying it for a small child but this is for me!! Otherwise, I agree that the necklace is too long but I love everything else. It is such a cute outfit together and very mix and matchable apart!

my only complaint is her hair bands. Much like my own, they stretch out much too easily, though suppose I could go out an buy her some similar ones.

I love this outfit. It is simple and versatile, while being somewhat classy. I have the basics of the outfit as I got it in a lot; the shoes, pants, shirt, and tank. I love how everything goes together so well, yet can be mix-n-matched with so many different things. The quality is great- fits all types of dolls. The shoes are especially of great quality; sturdy and cute. The wrap top is nice in that it has no velro; it snaps on one side inside and then the other side crosses over to tie on the end in a double knot.
