How I love this piece, let me count the ways. It is another favorite that gets high marks from me. It is, as the name indicates, a desk built for two...as long as the two are not wearing poofy petticoats. "Harriet" and Addy are a little squished, but it's not too bad. Here is an inside view of the desk. Addy has an area under the surface to store her books and supplies. The hinged top flips up for her to store her chalk or slate pencils. Also, note the bottom footrest -- a wonderful design element that keeps dolls in their slippery dresses from sliding under the desk and risking eternal classroom mortification. Addy is now standing behind her desk, to give you a sense of scale: This bench is darling. I've seen people use this piece in scenes as a park bench. It is sturdy and pretty. Another view of bench and desk: Addy pushed Harriet out and claimed it all for herself. Okay, not really, but she's happy to spread out. If you can find this piece, get it. Mine is well played-with and has its share of scuffs and dings, but it is so durable and the cosmetic damage in no way detracts from the piece's playablity. An absolute A from me...could be just a smidgen wider for two dolls in Civil War attire.

This is the only AG item we have two of since we like is to much. I got both used and I think the nicks and dings add to their historic accuracy.

I love this desk. It does scratch pretty easily, but it makes the piece seem more authentic. The wood has a nice weight to it and so does the metal used in the bench. I was lucky enough to find 2 desks and I am hoping to find 1 more. All I need now is Addy's satchel and supplies.

Addy's desk is big enough to hold lots of her supplies, and her lunch too!

I absolutely love this desk, as with the other reviews, it is multifunctional, and overall mostly durable. I have not had a problem with dings and marks. And it is great since it can hold two dolls. Would definitely give it an A.

I love Addy's desk. I think just about every doll I own has tried to sit at it at least once! There are desks just like this in the living history museum here (yay for Pioneer Village!), so I find it extra special. Mine has a few dings, but it gives the piece even more character.
Pics to come later.
Definite A from me!
