Kit wore this nightie in the movie/DVD Kit Kittredge: An American Girl. Released in 2008, retired in 2015.
When the sun sets in Cincinnati, Kit dresses in this warm nightie, featuring stripe print and ruffles at the hem, cuffs, and yoke. It can be chilly in Kit’s attic bedroom, so she wears pink slippers to keep her toes warm. Girls can sweep Kit’s hair back with a pink satin headband, and then tuck her into bed for sweet dreams. This is a lovely striped long sleeved nightie. The perfect thing to keep Kit warm on those cold Cincinati, Ohio nights. There are ruffles at the hem, cuffs and yoke. The nightie hits Kit at mid calf and is really well made with the velcro closure in the back. Her matching pink slippers go on easily although I had a little trouble with her pink headband. It was a little tight but I was still able to get it on her. I would give this outfit an A.

The striped nightie is adorable. It doesn't even matter if it's pink. Kit would wear anything pink because she knows that there are people out there who are less fortunate and have nothing. I like how it goes with her new bedding, but it isn't practical. I don't own pajamas that match my bed set. It's soft and the buttons on the front are fake. Like Joannep said, it Velcros closed in the back. The colors go together nicely, and yellow on Kit just looks wonderful! I was very happy to see they put yellow in the stripes to balance it out.
The headband is a pain. If you bought or are thinking of buying this set for a doll with bangs, it's nearly impossible to get the headband on there head without messing their bangs up. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to doll hair, and I will not stand for messy hair. It works well for Kit, but sometimes you get little bumps. Though not many girls wear there hair in a ribbon while going to bed because it'll just fall out if you are a "active" sleeper.
The slippers are interesting. I'm not quite sure if slippers then were anything like this. They just seem like shoes to me. But they are actually really easy to slip on and make it possible to make Kit stand up on her own (on solid surfaces).
A for the Nightie (wish it had real buttons) D+ for the headband (wish it wasn't so tight) A for the slippers (wish they looked more like slippers)
It's worth the $24 dollars in my opinion. I think it's really nice for Kit's collection, especially for winter time.

I know, it has pink in it, but there's other colors too. It is super soft and cozy - that's what won me over. I really like the slippers - they fit well and don't fall off. Our headband fits nicely. Overall, I give this an A+! D~

The nightgown and the slippers are darling and so easy to get on the dolls. However the hair bow is a royal pain to get on. I give this outfit a B+ for the simple fact of the struggle you go through with the hair bow.

This set contains a nightgown, slippers and a headband, my mom got it at AGP with her Molly doll in October 2010. I wouldn't have bought this myself, but my mom loves it and it looks adorable on Molly. The nightgown is made of a striped cotton knit and has ruffles and little faux buttons down the front. I was a bit surprised it wasn't flannel, while that would pill more easily, this just seems to me to be something that would have been made of flannel. The slippers are the same style as the ones that come with Kit's beach pajamas, but in pink with bows instead of red with pompoms. The headband looks just like the one with Elizabeth's holiday gown but in a different colour, so probably just as annoying to use. I prefer the beach pajamas, my mother however loves everything about this so it gets an A+

I love the nightgown. The stripes are really pretty colors, and it's nice to have a nightgown. I like how it comes with slippers too. The headband's a bit too plasticky though. Here it is on Emma:

A friend has this. I think it is very cute and love the bottom and sleeve ruffle. It's really nice that Kit has a summer and winter night wear option.
