I LOVE this outfit! It's a definte A in my book. It comes with:
A purple snow jacket with a lavender (snap front) belt and white top stitch detailing and an embroidered snowflake on the shoulder.
Grey snow pants with a white floral-and-scroll pattern screen print.
Lavender cable knit hat with a brim.
Purple snow mittens with lavender trim at cuff.
Ubiquitous hanger (the new all white version)
"Snickerdoodle" book with story about a girl named Kayla who gets teased about her last name constantly (including at snowboarding camp). It also has a glossary of "snow board speak" and blank pages with a snowboard outline so girls can design their own.
My impressions on opening the box: The jacket is a pretty deep shade of purple and I love the little belt detail. Be careful not to pull on it, though, because it is sewn in one small place in the back and could tear off easily. The velcro runs all the way up the front opening, which will make it nice and fitted. The snow pants aren't a true grey as they appear in the picture; they are more of a pretty lavender grey with the white pattern overlayed. The lavender knit hat is the same pattern and basic construction as the red one in the Scarlet & Snow outfit, only shorter, done with a different edge trim and a brim. The mittens are, well, mittens. I like the fact that they are the same slick material as the jacket (not knitted or regular fabric).
Remember that the boots don't come with this outfit (they are part of the accessory set) so if you are like me and don't want the snoboarding stuff you will need to substitute something. I ordered the Winter Weekend boots as a replacement part and they look really cute with it.
I only glanced through the book, but also noticed the cute snowboard design pages and the snowboard speak. This seems pretty awesome compared to the normal books. Lots of extra stuff in there as well as the usual story.
Cute outfit. I worried it'd be much thinner than it looks but it has a nice fluffy padded quality. Not sure what the pants fabric is but it's an unusual texture I don't recognize - it's not the shiny waterproof material it would be made of if it was made for humans.
MrsMac mentioned the belt around back - it is only sewn in one place, but I tugged at mine and the sewing seemed pretty sturdy. I think your kid's going to have to really try to yank it off for it to be a problem. The snap on the belt is pleasingly easy to undo for such a small one - not stiff at all, so hopefully little fingers won't have problems.
One of the two gloves was really a pain to get on. Not both of them, just one. It was really tight, and I had to pinch one edge against her wrist while I stretched it over all her fingers and it kept slipping.
Someone asked if the pants were quilted. They're not but there is some stitching on the front that's there...to give it some shape? I'm not really sure, honestly. There's none on the back: (front) (back)
I do wish the boots could be ordered with this outfit as well as with the snowboarding accessories.

Jess got the whole snowboarding outfit for Christmas & she loves it! The pants & jacket are warm & look really good on her. The jacket is big enough to put on over the long sleeve waffle-weave shirt from her camping outfit. The helmet is nice but we couldn't get it on over the cute knit cap. The boots fit over socks from another set & aren't too hard to get on. Jess can stand up pretty easily on her board. Jess gives this set an A but she wishes the boots came with the clothing.
