From the AG website:
"American Girls can’t wait to wear this outfit to summer camp! It features:
* A hoodie sweatshirt with blue sleeves and a “Pine Lake Camp” graphic * Twill shorts with patch pockets and adjustable cuffs * Sporty sandals for exploring the outdoors * A bandanna to sweep back her hair while she plays * Includes the Camp AG book, filled with ideas for summer fun $24"
When I saw the Outdoor Play outfit in photos and the catalog/website, I knew my dolls would be getting it. My mom bought it for me for my dolls (my Jess convinced her to; she said it was made for her, lol) and the outfit arrived yesterday.
Anyway, I love this outfit; I give it an A+! It's got cute mix and match pieces which make it well worth the money and it's not pink (I like pink but the blue suits this outfit more). I kinda wish the white part of the top was a light grey instead. White seems like it would get dirty pretty easily while at camp/camping, however, that doesn't take away from the awesomeness of this outfit. I haven't read the book yet but it has activities for kids to have their own little camp.
Now onto the photos:
The sandals-I love the stripes; they're the same style as Nicki's Tie Top outfit sandals.
Detail of the side of the shorts-there are two belt loops on the front sides and two front pockets that work. Elastic at the back; velcro closure on the front.
Shirt detail-I'm not sure if the graphic might be prone to peeling like Mia's meet sweater or not. The kangaroo pocket is a nice touch.
Back of the bandanna The tag on the bandana, on the front of the band, does show through a bit. The shirt and shorts close with the [snaggy] velcro closure; you have to pull the shirt over the head. (the blue hairties are just some cheap ones I had bought for my dolls).
The cuff on the shorts can be let down, which is good if you're doll feels like wearing slightly longer shorts.

Melissa already covered this outfit really well in her review, so I won't add much. It's excellent for mixing and matching. I particularly appreciate the outfit because it's not pink/purple, but more neutral colors. The shorts are the best part. They're so versatile!
The hoodie goes on easily, but the drawback is the printing on the front. I've never much cared for when AG does school/ camp specific clothing, because it makes it less realistic when you're doing your own pretending.
The shoes are adorable. They're less bulky that the previous camping outfit shoes (the purple ones w/ the bugs) and as such, look more realistic.
The scarf is very nice. Unlike the previous camping outfit, this scarf is pre "tied", so all you have to do is slide on the doll's hide, no tying involved. It actually fits much better than the other scarf with ties, which was pretty large on the doll's head. The leaf pattern is a really pretty alternative to a more traditional bandanna paisley.
I have a few pics of our dolls in this one. I love this outfit it is darling I give it an A. I left off the plus because there are 2 things that are a little bothersome - one is that the tag for the head scarf is right in front on top and can be a pain to keep smooth and hidden and the second is the litte straps come undone from the buckles on the short bottoms very easily.
I do think the colors of this outfit look very nice on many dolls and the shorts fit our chubby Molly very well.

Just got it yeasterday but have been planning to get it forever. My dolls actually go to "Pine Lake Camp" every summer. It's a sleepaway camp based on another camp we have here. everyone but Nollie and Jaycee have gone. Okay, on to the outfit. I was expecting the sleeves to be a litle longer, but the outfit s still cute. i say an A!
The grade shall remain the same for me no matter any small flaws because there are a few things that make this outfit Ah-Mazing. The fact that it's not pink is wonderful, the fact that it fits PM dolls is astounding, and the fact that you have endless mix-and-match possibilities is to die for! I love this outfit, I can't rave enough. The hoodie is white and can get dirty easily and it can be difficult to get on, but pair it with jeans and it's perfect. And I don't worry about my doll getting overheated at camp because it is fairly thin and the sleeves are 3/4 sleeves. The shorts are one of the most versitile pieces of clothing I own. The color is rare for AG, so take advantage of the palatte! They velcro closed where the fly would be and can be shorter or longer shorts. The edges fold over and hold closed with a strap that loops through the D-loops. And a big bonus about the sweatshirt and shorts is that the pockets all work! Ah, I love when AG clothes have functioning pockets. The shoes are so worth this outfit. Since I got it they have been on a doll at all times. They are kitcshy, colorful, and rugged. They fit PM feet extremely well and on Mattel dolls just tighten the velcro a bit more. The kerchif, although it can be a pain to get just right, is cute and very nicely complements the outfit as a whole.
Great for summer. Great for the outdoors. Just a great outfit in general! Be sure to pick this one up before it says ciao!
