Love it!

It fits 2 dolls quite easily. The fabric is rich and heavy and quite appropriate for the time. The wood is stained and detailed. It is expensive, but this is what we talk about, when we say heirloom quality.

My Windsor chair is in need of refinishing, but here it is with Rebecca's settee for size comparison.

I use Kit's too, proportionally it works well with Rebecca's Settee.

Rebecca's settee arrived last night and I just checked it out. It has to be returned because there is a very noticeable flaw in the upholstery. I hate returns and if there were anyway I could have fixed this, I'd have kept it.

I am mentioning this because for those on the fence about getting it, not only is it slated for retirement, but if you wait until the 11th hour and get a flawed piece, exchanging it might be an issue. I really wasn't hep on getting this item right now though it's been on my list forever, but I do want it for Caroline's Parlour scene, and the retirement would have put me in the situation of looking for it on Ebay with even fewer options if it is flawed. With AG, though it is still a pain for me, they will make good on the piece with an exchange while they have the item.

I posted a number of photos of the settee in the review for Cécile's Parlor Desk HERE to show how the pieces looked together.

I think the settee is a lovely and versatile piece of furniture that is appropriate to use from the antebellum era forward. It is not the absolutely perfect piece for my New Orleans parlor but it serves very well; it is far nicer than any of the other sofas I've looked at and the scale is excellent for the dolls. I do find that the velvety fabric can attract dust, so that's something to keep after. The fabric texture can look uneven depending on the lighting and how you 'brush' it but I find those things to be realistic and appealing. This is a solid, sturdy piece, one of my favorite AG furniture items ever. Highly recommended!

Picture request Rebecca's settee Caroline's parlor. Since I am considering purchasing the settee I was wondering if anyone here actually has both of these pieces and any pictures of them together. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can help.

Thank you :D

I just managed to get all 3 in the same place. My Rebecca's apartment is the locale for the Parlor pieces, so they're not all together (or finished yet, but I thought this would give you a sense of the scale.)

Here are a few of mine.

The wood of the fire screen and the settee are similar in color but one is shiny and one is matte.
