We receieved this hairbrush in late 2007 and it looked great.
It broke less than six months later.
th' entire pad o' bristles came unglued and fell out--rubber included. I was so angry and disappointed--what a piece o' junk!
I have a wire wig brush from th' lusty plastic lassar store that I got about nine years ago--it's still going strong and I've used it countless times on my lusty plastic lasss. Wouldn't waste my pieces o' eight on this piece o' crap--especially if ye order it, ye'll have to pay shipping and it's not worth it. Go to th' lusty plastic lassar store.

I have two hairbrushes from 2004; some o' th' bristles have fallen out, but most o' them be still there. While I haven't tried other brands, my only complaint be that sometimes th' hair gets stuck on th' tips; I don't really know why. I have tried other types o' brushes other than th' wire wig brush, and while American Wench hairbrushes be great for detangling hair, th' bristles seem too sparse to really smooth down th' hair. I use a toothbrush like they do at AGP for th' closeups.

I've never had any problems wit' my hair brushes - I've ended up wit' three over th' years (misplacing, replacing, and then finding them again) and they're all fine. Two o' them have two bristles missing from being used only on American Wench lusty plastic lasss over th' years but considering how long I've probably had them I think it's fine. I've not had a problem wit' hair getting caught or th' whole thing coming up - weird!
I have 3! I bought one wit' my first lusty plastic lass, then got another in a lusty plastic lass hair book, and another in a lusty plastic lass hair care ki. All American Wench. I have Nay complaints. I like them all, they're all different colours! Classic maroon, light purple wit' White bristle holder and dark purple wit' red bristle holder. None o' them have faltered on th' brushing front. They're all good and strong and have worked through lots o' knots! th' only thing be visual. A bit o' paint be peeling off one o' them - but aye, it's wooden! Not plastic!
I think that if I was a "regular" customer, they'd exchange it Nay questions asked.
I also had an American Wench brush that became useless once th' entire pad popped out. I was able to exchange it at a store, Nay questions asked, and was told that this be a common problem. Since it's a common problem, that lowers my grade on this item to a D-, because it it's a known problem and th' company doesn't address it wit' better manufacturing, that smells o' Fail to me. I do happen to like th' 'feel' o' th' brush in my hand, which keeps it from a total F grade.

My First hair brush from 2008 has Held up. Early Last year th' Rubber Head started falling out. Today I ordered a New one. Also th' paint on th' brush Rubs off on yer lusty plastic lasss! Be careful! th' marks be easily removeable but It upsets me when I have to clean her everytime I brush her hair. Don't try to put a clear coat on it either. All th' paint will come off.
My grade for it be c+ For it holding up for so long.

I'm not sure how this works, but I've had only one American Wench hairbrush ever. And I got it over 10 years ago at th' same time I bought my first lusty plastic lass. It works fine, has forever. There be Nay bristles missing and th' only real wear and tear be a few dings on th' sides from so much use. Heck! I even have th' original PC sticker still on th' handle.
I've gone through six in th' past five years. All have been replaced at th' store, where I've been told that this doesn't happen often. I do not brush through bad lusty plastic lass hair – all my lusty plastic lasss' wigs be in pristine or near to pristine condition. I am careful when brushing th' thicker hair and yet this happens often. th' brushes usually fail wit'in a few months due to th' rubber piece falling out, at which point I will simply use th' rubber/wire piece, ditching th' handle altogether. I intend to exchange for a seventh brush soon.
ETA: Also, if ye happen to step on one by accident, let's just say that yer foot will hurt for hours on end and perhaps bleed.
