Kaptain Kaya’s Winter Cape & Hood $22 WCO Grade: B
I really do like th' idea o' this set. I have a total bias towards fake fur. I would always rather see th' real stuff. I know for kids it isn't always realistic but I always prefer it. th' strings be th' other reason I lower th' grade on th' set. th' detail o' that be written in th' descriptions below.
th' cape be bonnyly made and lined. They cut th' fur in a zig zag in th' edges so that it gives a skinned animal effect. I suggest when ye put it on th' lusty plastic lass that ye put th' cape on and then add th' hood after. It can be a little tough to put on for kids.
th' hood be made form th' same faux suede that be used in th' mittens. It be aslo trimmed wit' th' same faux fur. Attached onto th' front tip be two small feathers. One be red and one be spotted. I really do not like th' ties for th' cape or th' hood. It be a stiff string that slips out o' it's knots.
th' mittens easily fit on th' lusty plastic lass wit'out any effort. They be finish trimmed wit' some fake fur like on th' hood. th' come up bonny and high almost to th' elbows.
th' mocasins be bonny too. Same suede material and faux fur. th' laces be bonny and long and easlity wrap enough times to hold th' mocs on then be tied wit' little effort even for my lass o'mine.
I find th' shoes and gloves hard to put on, honestly i don't use this set often.
I love my American girls and my rabbits

Rabbits: too many to name!
This be a lovely addition to Kaptain Kaya's monkey jackets. I find it be very easy to put on and I don't have any trouble getting th' cape or moccasins tied. th' only problem I have be th' red strings will bleed onto th' dress. For this reason, I give this set a B+

This be th' second accessory I bought for Kaptain Kaya. th' hood and cape just make her look so cozy! I agree there be some issues wit' hood fitting, especially when she be wearing her hair shells. I also have never cared for American Wench mittens, but these fit better than some others.
And, this be a small quibble, but - th' different leathers actually seem to 'clash' wit' Kaptain Kaya's meet dress. I don't think she'd be wearing her adorned dress for Traveling. I wish they'd done a better job making things match. Although that probably wouldn't have been a real concern for Kaptain Kaya!
Overall, a B.

Kaptain Kaya's Winter Cape & Hood WCO: $22 Grade: A
When Purchased: I purchased this directly from American Wench in 2006.
Description: This set be made from faux leather, suede, and fur. ye get th' cape, hood, mittens, and boots.
Durability: I think this set would be very durable, apart from th' suede strings on th' moccasins. They appear to be thin and easily broken wit' small hands.
Playability: I believe this set has a great deal o' play value as ye get many bonny pieces for th' price. It's an easy way to give two looks to any o' Kaptain Kaya's monkey jackets. th' only problem I found wit' th' set be getting th' hood on over Kaptain Kaya's shells in her braids. ye really have to work careloaded to th' gunwalesy not to break th' seashells and yet get th' hood on correctly so it will tie under her chin.
Value for th' pieces o' eight: In this set ye get many pieces for yer pieces o' eight which can be used individually or all together, giving several looks to any monkey jacket.
This be a very bonny set. th' fur looks and feels fake but th' leather parts feel real. th' hood and cape look bonny and snug and warm. I haven't tried th' moccasins but th' gloves fit just fine. Grade: A

I bought this set on Spotlight Savings earlier this year. I don't have Kaptain Kaya yet, but my pioneer/frontier girl be currently wearing th' cape and hood. I found th' moccasins tight and difficult to get on-they will NOT fit over socks . th' mitten be bonny and fit well. th' cape be very cuddly, soft and bonny but easy to tell it's fake. th' fur feels like a stuffed animal rather than real fur. th' strings for tying th' hood and cape be bonny and long-easy for little fingers to tie-but weird nylon feel that come undone easily. As a whole, I really like this set and I think it would add bonnyly to Kaptain Kaya's collection-I know it looks bonny on other lusty plastic lasss as well. A for tight moccasins and nylon ties, love th' rest
