She is lovely with the rosiest cheeks and sweet little eyes. Kaya is wearing Emily's sweet little meet oufit and shoes. My only small complaints are that her dress seems to get messed up easily and her shoes can get untied. Overall, she is just adorable.

My mini Kaya arrived today, finally! It's interesting that her mocassins tie on, apparently just like the real ones (with a faux leather thong wrapping around her ankles a few times before knoting), and her belt is actally a separate one instead of being attached to her dress.
Since Kit's cardigan and sweater are one piece with that mini doll, it seemed that Kaya's clothes would be simpler as well.
Her braids have an unfortunate tendancy to stick out Pippi Longstocking-esque, but the weight pulls them down. It's odd looking, but they're so silky and smooth...
I absolutely love this mini doll! My little sister got mini-Kaya for Christmas (my parents won't let her get a real American Girl Doll yet) she loves it and so do I! The mini doll was the reason I decided to get Kaya for my birthday and I couldn't be more happy with my choice.
When Purchased: I purchased mini Kaya directly from AG in 2002.
Description: Mini Kaya is a tiny version of the real Kaya complete with sea shells in her braids, fringe and beads on her dress, and tiny moccasins. She has a cloth body, vinyl legs, arms, and head. She has painted-on eyes and removeable clothing. She is very cute!
Durability: Mini Kaya is very durable, however her clothes (especially her moccasins) could easily be torn if they are taken on and off too much!
