This outfit is worn by Josefina in the short story "Thanks to Josefina". Released in 2003 for $24, retired in 2006.Josefina wears her flowered skirt, woven striped sash, and embroidered camisa to weave blankets with her sisters. Add her rebozo to keep her warm when she goes out to gather roots and berries for dyes. This outfit is a must have for Josefina fans. The mulberry color compliments Josefina's skin tone nicely. The camisa is made from lightweight cotton and simply embroidered on top. The skirt is heavy, textured material on the bottom and matches the camisa on top. The sash is woven and fits skinnier Josefinas. The rebozo is plain, printed cotton and could be a little more detailed but is still very pretty. Grade: A+ It looks cute on Americanas too.

I love this dress, and so does my Josefina! I was worried I wouldn't get it, but I made sure I did. Josefina is sure never to take this dress off! ;D

This outfit is lovely! Plus- if you were a cheapo like me and never bought her accessories, you finally have a rebozo! (I did get the acc. later on) I love the edging on the shirt and the embroidery. I also love the way the top is kind of... empire waisted- if that makes any sense at all. Lovely variety to Josefina's rather monotonous wardrobe.

The blouse to this outfit has delicate embroidery of burgundy flowers on the chest area. The blouse is rather long and can be used as a simple cotton dress if desired. The skirt is a solid beige at the top and then has a ribbon of burgundy before it changes material to a flowered pattern. The skirt is edged with a lace edging. The belt is multi-colored weave. It ties around her waist. The rebozo is just burgundy cotton with a bit of fringe on the ends. Not woven like her other rebozos. The shoes from the shoes and socks outfit go very well with the Weaving Outfit. Grade A - too bad it's retired now.

I really like how the sash from this outfit looks with the Harvest Outfit, if you want to switch things up any. Also, the dark red sash from the Harvest Outfit can be worn nicely with this one!

This is my favorite outfit out of every outfit AG makes It is so pretty. Josefina really looks like a princess in it. The embrodery on the camisa is just so elegant, and the dark rasberry color is so lovely on her. I give it 110/10

The camisa from this outfit is one of the prettiest things Josefina owns. I love the neckline and the embroidery! The skirt is nice, but it seems really long. Like the Feast Day Outfit, I wish that the skirt were print all over, with the camisa over the top. It seems from her illustrations that Josefina wears her camisas over those particular skirts, rather than having a white section at the top of the skirt. I really don't like the rebozo for this outfit. It has a fake "wovenesque" look that I find kind of tacky. I really prefer the real woven rebozo she gets with her Herb Gathering set.

I bought this outfit on ebay and it came sans sash. As noted above, the Harvest outfit sash works well with it. The rebozo puzzles me a bit. This is a weaving outfit and it's the one rebozo that is, in fact, not woven but rather printed cotton.

Unlike skukla, I got my outfit with the sash but without the rebozo. I love the camisa, it is so pretty with the embroidery on the yoke and the red overcast stitch on the edge of the sleeve. It makes a nice change from all her plain white camisas. The colors are very pretty on Josefina.
On the negative side, I find the pattern on the skirt a little large in scale, but it does work visually. As others have said, the skirt seems a bit long. Lastly, the flowers on the skirt are sort of a purple red, a plum while the ribbon between the patterned part and the cream part is a burgundy. The red embroidery is another shade of red entirely. Not a big deal, but why didn't they try to match the overall red colors, go either plum, burgundy or red. None of these things really impacts my overall love of the outfit.
Overall, I'd give it a A.

It mixes and matches OK with Josefina's Harvest camisa

It looks dashing when worn with her Spencer Jacket too!

I bought this sans sash and rebozo on eBay. Given it's one of Josefina's harder-to-find outfits, I was happy to get any of it. (I'm using the sash from her Indigo Skirt set and her meet accessories rebozo.) It's really lovely. I especially like the detailed embroidery on the camisa. The colors are beautiful on her, too. The skirt has a nice, delicate lace edging that makes the skirt look quite dainty. Not a bad find if you can dig it up for a decent price on the secondary market.

I have wanted this outfit ever since I began collecting for Josefina in 2004, and thanks to a generous board member I was finally able to bring it home for a terrific price 11 years later. Even though this is called the Weaving Outfit, I don't think Josefina would ever really do work like weaving or collecting dyestuffs in an outfit this elaborate. After all it has embroidery, ribbon trim, and lovely lace edging! It seems to me like a more authentic counterpart to her Party Dress and Spencer, so that's how I styled it. As some of the other reviewers pointed out, there are a lot of different reds in the outfit, but when they are all put together I think they look really nice. I like the additional earth tones in the skirt, and the multicolored sash keeps the whole thing from looking too monotone. One detail I never noticed until I had the outfit in hand was the zigzag stitching along the ribbon trim! I didn't actually mind the design of the rebozo like some other reviewers, although I was surprised to find it is much shorter than her meet or herb-gathering ones. You certainly can't wrap it around her head, and it is hard to make it drape nicely on her arms. Still, I'm glad it was included. It looks elegant draped over her head too. Because her sash has some blue, in the catalogs this outfit was paired with the blue hair ribbon from Josefina's meet outfit. It also looks good with the braided headband from her BF hairstyling set. Overall I definitely give this outfit an A!!!
