I love these - I think it's my favorite thing I have gotten her so far and therefore a really good value.
I don't have the feast outfit, but the shawl looks stunning with her meet outfit as well. I love the flowers on it and the color (yellow is my favorite color, so I'm automatically a sucker for the shawl.)
The choker necklace is simple but it looks very good on her.
It also helps ease the transition from her neck to her body.
The fan is my least favorite item as I'm not fond of the see-through lace look, but that's a personal preference.
I really like this set and I think it's necessary for Josefina's Birthday outfit - plus the pieces mix-and match fairly well.
The shawl - the shawl gets kind of a mixed review here. The fabric is very bright and colorful, but it's a thin, slippery nylon-esque fabric that feels like a kite. It's probably supposed to represent silk. The embroidery is really appliques - they are very nice but they are obvious from the other side. The shawl is fairly slippery on Josefina but the fringe helps to hold it on when you arrange it over her arms. B+
The necklace - well see, I like the necklace because the colors are nice, the gold matches her earrings, and it looks nice with her birthday, Christmas, and party dresses. But I was kind of disappointed that the 2008 version is made of a piece of thick elastic instead of the original silk cord. Also I think the charm is more rigid. But for looks and use, it gets an A.
The fan - the fan could be considered cheap by some, because it is all plastic except for the lace, which is raw around the bottom edges. But I somehow really like it - I think it is my favorite piece. It looks great with her birthday outfit, also her Christmas and Regency party dress. I'll probably use it for the fiesta outfit too. It can be attached to her hand with a rubber band, but it WILL leave marks on her hand! Overall though, I still give it an A-.
Here's a nice close-up of the necklace. I thought it was originally a silk cord, but AGR said her's was from early 2000's and was elastic like this one. You can see the semi-flat elastic cord with three ribs, covered in "silk" threads:

Josefina's heirloom accessories are very pretty.
The shawl is a gorgeous sunny yellow cover. It looks like the shawls my female relatives in New Mexico still carry today when they're watching dances on the plaza. I love arranging the fringe over Josefina's arms while she wears it. My only complaint about it is that its' very slippery and as such, is difficult to fold and store.
The necklace is simple and pretty. My Josefina has a tiny gap between her neck and her body, and the necklace covers that spot very well. I like the closure, because you can be assured it won't come off.
The fan is nice. I'm in the non-plastic fan crowd, but I like the black lace. At any rate, it's far superior to Elizabeth's all-plastic fan. My Josefina holds it with a clear hair tie.
Pleasant Co tagged 1997 shawl is on the right, Mattel version from le Outlet sale earlier this year on the left. Mattel version is slightly smaller and has shorter frindge. There is no difference in the appliqued flowers. I purchased the Pleasant Co shawl used, but with the frindge still attached at the bottom with a single strand of thread that was designed to be pulled out, releasing the strands. The biggest difference between the 2 pieces is the weight. The Pleasant Co shawl is MUCH heavier.
I love Josefina's Heirloom set. It is just beautiful. The shawl is well made and there is nice attention to detail. I use the choker necklace and fan the most. The shawl is very pretty and I haven't really put it with anything other than the Feast Day Outfit. I use the fan and choker with her Christmas, Fiesta, Feast Day, and Spencer Dresses. If you do scenes, the shawl would complement any decor. I think you could use the accessories for more than just Josefina. They can be used in many historical or modern settings.
