A+ This set includes A Clay Flute, Telescope, Pouch, U.S. Flag, Mexican Flag, Mirror and Desert Tortoise.
Description : "Josefina's summer was certainly full of surprises. As she played her CLAY FLUTE one sunny day, she summoned a startling bird indeed--an American scout named Patrick! He showed Josefina something magical-a telescope that made faraway objects leap into view.
Take your TELESCOPE out of its purple POUCH and let Josefina take a peek--it really works!
In the plaza at Santa Fe, Josefina saw the U.S. FLAG for the first time. Its stars and stripes of red, white, and blue were so different from the MEXICAN FLAG she was used to. A shiny metal MIRROR brought by American traders also caught Josefina's eye. But it was a DESERT TORTOISE that lead Josefina to the biggest surprise of all!"
I just got this set today and I positively love it!
The little yellow bird flute is just so sweet. It is hand painted. It seems pretty sturdy considering it is made of terracotta. It is on a long black leather like cord so Josefina can wear it around her neck.
The mirror is so nice! You can remove the little embossed metal cover to reveal a real glass mirror. The back of the mirror has a little stand so you can set the mirror up, or loop the stand over Josefina's finger so she can hold it.
The U.S. Flag and Mexican Flag are made of cloth that has been finished on all the edges, and carefully stapled to wooden sticks that are painted black.
The desert tortoise is so cute! His tummy is stamped "Pleasant Company". He is a hard rubbery material like toy turtles you would find at a museum gift shop, the toy store or the even the dollar tree.
The telescope and pouch are very nice. The telescope really works! You can find a full review of the telescope here
A+ for a terrific little set with tons of play value.

I'm not crazy about this set. I won it on ebay for a bargain price. It didn't have a lot of playability for me. The best part is the telescope. I'm keeping it for now but I might resell it at some point. The little flags are cute and I appreciate the metal mirror and the well-made metal telescope. Grade: B+
Here's a scale picture of the tortoise.

Santa Fe Summer Fun JAAN $18
I'm very pleased with this set. The telescope not only really works, it's really metal and glass! The mirror is very high quality, even though it's only 1 1/4" diameter. The tortoise is life-like looking, but made of thick rubber. The flags are so very cute and well made.
Josefina Santa Fe Summer Fun Set (size comparison)
My favorite part is the terra-cotta bird whistle. It really works! It's very Mexican looking and probably a bit fragile. The only draw back to it would be the plastic cord that he's hanging on. Not only is the plastic unrealistic, the cord is just BARELY big enough to squeeze Josefina's head through.
Terra-cotta bird whistle
The bird whistle is quite a bit larger than the (non-working) bird flute that is included with Josefina's Herb Gathering Outfit.
bird 'flute' from the Herb Gathering set/Bird whistle included with Santa Fe set
Lots of play value. Pretty durable. Over-all grade B+

I paid way too much for this set on ebay, but it was the last thing I needed to complete my Josefina collection. I love the two little flags- especially the American flag with only 24 stars! It's fun to compare each historical character's flags; it's too bad they didn't put them in every doll's collection.
I love the pretty little mirror. I was surprised to see that it came with a built-in stand! The cover is really pretty. The tortoise is just awesome. I love the telescope! I am among the silly people who didn't realize how far it extended until reading its review.
The clay whistle is so pretty. I love the delicate brush strokes on the side to indicate wings. Unlike AGR's sets, both my herb gathering and summer fun whistles came on the junky plastic cording. I think it would be worthwhile to swap them out for a real leather cord. As with the flags, I really like that Kirsten, Samantha, Molly, Felicity, and Addy also have whistles. It's that kind of continuity that really impresses me with the AG collections.
