This is one of my least favorite accessory sets I have gotten from AG. The tote and watering can are plastic and very smooth so they feel very plastic, and the watering car is too small. The plant had possibilities, but for some odd reason they include 4 different types and colors of flowers, that's one odd plant. Plus, the way you put the flowers on is to shove them one to the plant through a small hole in the fabric flower....that should last a long time. The seed packets are paper, as is the journal and the flower press, although it looks like it could possibly work, is just cardboard and elastic. The best part of the set is the little shovel, the handle is plastic, but is textured, so it doesn't have that cheap plastic feel to it and the shovel is metal. Grade: C-

I agree with Tink's assessment and her rating. I've been feeling a touch of deja vu ever since this set arrived, so I checked out Meg's AGT listing on the HOME PAGE. Sure enough, in 2002 there was a Gardening Accessories set sold that I know I bought, although the pieces have been scattered far and wide by now.
The 2002 set had more tools and a real green house with real clay pots and real seeds you could grow things with. Same shovel/trowel but also a nice little gardening fork. Instead of the plastic watering can there was a bigger aluminum one, which I actually used to water my seedlings that year. Also a little plastic spray mister, which was cute but not effective.
Since Tink has done such a good job photographing all the components, I won't repeat them. I also object to the smooth plastic surfaces so I may decoupage them at some point. I think the tote is the best part of this set because it can be used to tote real little clay pots. It would be nice if the garden journal included some gardening tips on top of the pages, but I'm sure I can provide that.
My biggest wish for this set would be garden gloves! Too finicky to make for myself and they would look so cute, hanging out of the tote. But since I won this set as a prize and it's my very first thing I ever won, I will be grateful and enjoy all the pieces when the girls come outside to work in the garden with me!

I actually like the set but largely because pink and green are my favorite color combinations and also my sorority colors. Overall, I don't have a problem with it but I do wish the watering can was a little larger but not so large that it could not fit in the tote.

I just purchased this set and I agree with what everyone has said and wanted to add that the proportions are off with the seed packets....way too large. Only one of my "flower" heads has a hole in it so guess I will have to punch the others in myself if I want that crazy plant to bloom. I have put Lanie's new Nature accessories in the tote and they do fit so that is a good thing, however I wish I would have read these reviews before I purcahse this set because I would have waited until it was on sale.
