Released in 1999 for $6, retired a few years later.Ribbons for Josefina JXOH $6 "Give Josefina beautiful new hairstyles with four ribbons, one each in orange satin, yellow satin, teal satin, and red grosgrain."These are nice, but just like ribbons that could be purchased at any fabric store. The red is more of a burgundy color. Here are the approximate lengths and widths: Teal satin: 3/8" wide x 11" long Yellow satin: 3/8" wide x 11" long Orange satin: 1/2" wide x 11" long Red grosgrain: 1/2" wide x 11" long The ends are cut in an angle and fray-checked. You can fray-check your own ribbons after cutting by dipping the ends in clear drying glue. Also, if I were making my own, I'd make them a bit longer than indicated. It's pretty hard to tie a pretty bow with an 11" ribbon. Ribbons for Josefina EDIT TO ADD HER MEET RIBBON AND PRIMROSE MEASUREMENTS: Josefina's meet ribbon is dark blue satin: 1/4" wide x 10 1/2" long Each primrose flower is just under 1” across. The tallest stem is also 1”. As far as I can tell both the original primrose and ribbon are identical to the BeForever edition. I have both sets.

I'm embarassed to admit that yes, I paid $6 for these ribbons. I really should iron them. They're quite nice, but as AGR said, they're just a bit too short. When I do Josefina's hair, I generally use longer lengths from the Michael's ribbons that come 2/$1. Better value, but my Josefina apparently needed the real AG ones. Grade: B-

I think I'd have to give these ribbons a B. I did get them for retail which I don't regret since I'm a completist when it comes to Josefina. As the others have said, 11" is really too short. You can see this in my picture below - especially with the thicker ribbons (red and orange) the bow comes out more stubby than flowing! You can only tie these in one bow around the end of Josefina's braid; if you wanted to do other hairstyles, though, you could maybe tie the ribbon around a ponytail holder. Since no pictures like this have been posted, I thought I'd show the ribbons in comparison to some of Josefina's outfits. I do think it's a bonus that they match Josefina's wardrobe so well! Teal matches Josefina's birthday skirt, orange coordinates with her summer dress, and yellow is very versatile, matching her Christmas, Fiesta, and summer dresses: I don't have a comparison picture, but the red grosgrain ribbon matches all of Josefina's red pieces and I think the trim in her fiesta dress, also.
