I really love this dress. Historically though, I don't know if the white part would be separate or not. Great colors. I give it an A.

A+ for the outfit itself. It's gorgeous and looks great on Felicity.*
F- for the windmill. It breaks if you look at it cross-eyed and it was so fragile that it has NO play value.
*I bought mine when it came out originally, so while I think it's worth the original price, it's not worth $200.

The colors on this dress are absolutely fantastic, as are the patterns. I took a closeup picture of the apron against the blue dress. It isn't *exactly* true to color due to the intense camera flash, but you can see the patterns up close. The whole outfit is absolutely stunning, easily worthy of an A+. However, I agree with jabberwockypie on the windmill. I'm afraid to even touch mine, so it stays wrapped up VERY carefully in storage. I also got mine when it was originally released. Definitely worth that price, maybe worth up to $100 if you really want it, but it would be painful to pay $200 or whatever the going price is.

I agree about the windmill, it's beautiful to look at but has broken in two spots. It's still good enough for me because I bought it when it came out. The dress is gorgeous, and I've gotten so much use out of it that it's thin and faded in some spots. I don't mind because it's just evidence of how much use and playtime Felicity got out of it when I was younger!

I splurged on this set on ebay and Im glad I did. It was definitely worth it. It looks great on her and also in my display on a dress form. I remember when I went to order this I had been saving up for this set (I had thought 28$ was SO much for a dress...little did I know how much I would end up paying for it...) and when I finally went to place my order I was informed that they had just sold out. I never stopped kicking myself about that one. If I had tried harder and called the store in Chicago I may have been able to get my hands on one. Anyways I am always worried about breaking the windmill. It is also hard to display because it doesn't balance very well right side up. I'm thinking about putting some nails on the wall to see if I an get it to balance up on that.

I love the dress... its one of my favorites of felicity However, since I was so young when I got this outfit, the windmill broke instantly. I am thinking of trying to recreate it...

I will post my own pics soon, but for now I will review without them.
I received the Town Fair Outfit the year it came out, in 1997. I bought it just after I got Lissie as an alternative to the Rose Garden Dress. And I LOVE it!
The colors at first thought seem off, but really match well together! The best part is that the dress looks great with or without the apron! I really think this is my favorite of all Lissie's fashions. The original description said the dress was teal, and it seems to be on the darker end of that color. The gold trim really dresses it up. I think this may be on of the last dresses to have the slits for her Undergarments. My Lissie loves it when I can dress her in it! The colors really show off her red-hair!
As for accuracy, it's so adorable I don't mind them (if there are any). The only thing that does get a bad grade is the windmill. I saw surprised at its fragility when it arrived. It has stayed in the original box since then. Then box got wet some years ago so one the mills doesn't turn anymore, but I don't mind. It makes a great display item, but its lousy in the play value dept. Overall : B- The Dress gets a A+ The windmill gets a F

This dress appears to be spot on as far as historical accuracy. This fashion plate appears to be the inspiration for this dress:
