Felicity's Tilt-Top Table & Chairs is pictured on the cover of the book, Happy Birthday, Felicity! It was introduced near the Felicity's debut and retired at her archival in 2010.
PC description: In Felicity's time, colonial homes boasted a table that was proudly set for afternoon tea when company called. Felicity's wooden tea table is a reproduction of a classic, down to its decorative piecrust edging and Queen Anne legs. The tabletop tilts down for storage. The matching side chairs are decorated with a seashell on the back and are richly upholstered in shiny blue moiré. (Single chairs are available.)
B+:
Felicity’s table and chairs are by far the most elegant of the table/chair sets. Some of the positive aspects of the set are that the table is large enough to seat 3 or 4 dolls comfortably and that it folds nicely for storage. I also love the cherry wood.
Although this set is nicely made, the pieces are less durable than some of the other table and chair sets. Every year MCM receives many sets, especially chairs that were broken in transit. The wood also shows scratches.
I am fortunate enough to own two sets of Felicity’s table and chairs. One is from 1992-93 and the other is from 2004. This is one of the few AG sets that have not decreased in quality over the years. The sets are virtually identical, wood stain and all. If anything, the newer table is a little bit sturdier than the older table.

Overall, this is a nice set, though it is more pricy and fragile than some of the other table and chairs.

I give this a B, the size of the table is great, except if you fold it up, it's not that sturdy and has a tendency to tip over. The chairs seem light weight and the dolls have a hard time staying in their seats, they keep sliding off.....I also recently discovered, after having this set for over over 5 years, that the cushions can come out of the chairs.

Grade: B+
In terms of design and overall prettiness, I'd give it an A. I love this set and wish I still owned it. I like that it folds down so it can be stored relatively easily.
In terms of fragility, though, it's more like a B-. I've shipped two of them over the course of my collecting and it has been very difficult to do. The legs on the table seem rather delicate and are set in place with glued in wooden dowels that seem to come loose when shipped or if the room gets too cold (had that happen in a mountain cabin). It's not that hard to put more glue in and fix it, but I wish it just didn't do that.

My set is PM, too. I had a problem with one chair leg breaking but it was easy to glue back -- it simply split at the joint with the seat frame. I think the overall design of these chairs is great for dolls to sit on because they are the widest chairs (I haven't seen Addy's but I have Sam's, Molly's old wooden set and Kirsten's) so offer the best support for the doll's seat. I love the table, too. There's one just like it in a local historical museum (in New England).

I broke down last year and bought Felicity's Table and chairs from AG. I have admired it for a long time in the old magazines, and it was my first piece of AG furniture. The table is a gorgeous wood piece, stained a dark cherry color. The chairs are stained to match. Please ignore the uneven surface the table is standing on (it's actually my bed... ) The edge of the table is scalloped, making it very fancy! The table locks in place on the bottom, and the tabs can be moved so the top can tilt (hence, a "tilt-top" table). Be warned that this furniture set is a DUST MAGNET. I have to dust it very often while on display to keep it looking nice. Maybe it's the dark color of the stain or something, I don't know. It had been dusted before taking this picture, though, but you know how cameras make everything look like it hasn't been dusted. The tilt-top makes the table much easier to store. The chairs are a gorgeous design. While the covering on the chairs seem to be a bit slippery, I've never had much problem getting Felicity to sit on them. Especially if the doll is tucked into the table, they tend to sit fine for me. I think the blue is a great color for Lissie. Lissie sitting at the table to emphasize my point. Overall: This furniture set is gorgeous and timeless. It's unique and stores well. Felicity's tea set and treats look very pretty set up on the table, also. Dust it well and dust it often, and you're golden. Grade: A+

The style of the legs on the chairs currently being sold have been changed. They are no longer rounded but more square/block like in the appearance. Hard to describe but if you look carefully at the current chairs and ones from previous years you will see the difference. Hope this helps
Also wanted to add the table has changed too. There is not longer the raised border running around the table. New table have the border on the bottom rim of the table like they flipped the table top over now? I don't know but I prefer the older sets.

On the old tables the scalloped edge is slightly raised above the level of the table; you might call it a "lip." On the new tables, there is still a scalloped edge, but it falls away down below the level of the table. It is still a "fancy" edge, but a marble would now roll off the edge. Does this make sense? You can see it if you carefully compare photos of the old table (I had saved from another member): to the photos of the version now for sale:

I was just wondering, did Felicity's table set ever have chairs upholstered with red cushioned seats instead of the blue? I saw a set on Craigslist that the person said were not a fake. But I can't find any information on the table set ever having red cushioned chairs. Thanks! I have seen one like that on Ebay, and think maybe it was re-covered from the original blue. The seat cushions do come out from what I have read, so that is possible.

I just got this set in the original packing material looking like it had never been unpacked. The only piece with a sticker is the table: American Girl. I also got an extra pair of chairs, each marked Pleasant Company. The new table has the raised edge, and the new chair legs are very similar to the older chairs, just somewhat slimmer. Chairs, AG on the left and PC on the right.

I own the PC table and chairs, along with an additional Mattel chair. My Mattel chair seems to have a darker finish than the PC set. I think I prefer the lighter PC finish, which allows you to see the wood grain more clearly. It provides a more natural look. Both are elegant, however

Just picked this up and I honestly can't believe how lightweight the chairs are! The table has the "lip" and is labeled American Girl. I'm nervous by how fragile the chairs seem.

I have to take my metaphorical hat off to AG's packaging: Felicity's tilt top table and chairs made it all the way Down Under, unscathed. It was NIB, ie in the original shipper with moulded styrofoam cradling everything inside: <broken image links removed>
Others have posted pics of the revised table edge but here's another anyway: <broken image link removed>

It's a beautiful set! The wood is smooth and the dark cherry stain is very pretty. I agree that it probably wouldn't hold up to a child who wasn't careful with their things though.
I was curious to see if the cushions came out of my chairs so I checked, and they do, with a little gentle persuasion. I can actually think of a reason for that to be a good thing: if the front chair legs ever come loose, by taking the cushion out you can get to the inside screw that is part of the leg attachment.
I love that the table top folds down to take up less space when not in use.
A solid A from me.
