Associated with Addy Learns a Lesson. Released in 1993, retired in 2007. Most components were later revised and released in 2014 as Addy's Lunch Pail.
Momma packed Addy’s lunch in a tin pail with a lid on top to keep it fresh. She tied a scrap of dotted fabric to the handle so Addy would know which lunch was hers. Spread out the cheery red-checked napkin and lay out Addy’s lunch. There’s a savory meat pie, a bunch of juicy grapes, and four little cookies shaped into letters that spell out a sweet message!
I absolutely adore this set! I knew I HAD to HAVE it after reading "Addy Learns A Lesson"
The lunch pail is really made out of tin and it's a bit heavy. The food is slightly heavy also and not made of the sticky material like some of the other playfood. The L-O-V-E letters are soo cute and if you have read the book, then you will love them that much more.
The cutest part is the tiny green ribbon with white polka dots. I am a sucker for polka dots and this little detail is just so very sweet!

I finally got this set at AGP. I'm glad I got it with the code because I wasn't totally impressed. The tin pail is great! Mine is tagged Pleasant Company. It's a real metal pail. The little cloth napkin is really cute. The food is not so great. Though it is made from resin, and not plastic or rubber, it isn't very realistic looking compared to some of the other food sets. The grapes are all one bunch with no separate grapes, the mince (?) pie is OK and the cookies are thankfully separate and cute but not all that special. I do love the significance in the story though. Grade: B+

I won this set on ebay and was so happy to finally get it. I was suprised at the size of the pail, it was bigger than I was expecting. The cookies that spell "LOVE" are really cute, but are very small. If you have a younger child, you might want to put them up so they don't get lost. The pie and grapes are heavy and not all that cute. I do love the significance of this set. Overall - A

I was trying to figure out how big the lunch pail is. I couldn'tfind it in art class, either. Any one know? The lunch pail is 2 1/4" tall with a diameter of 2 1/2". If you include the handle, the entire pail is 4 1/4" tall.

Bought this set from a board member. It's really quite cute. The food pieces are typical AG food fare (I have Sam's lunch... I would consider these sets comparable). The napkin is nice and sturdy. The tin is also great. Nice size, very sturdy, and easy to have Addy "hold." The green ribbon on the handle is adorable... one of my favorite little touches. And, of course, like everyone has mentioned, this is important and quite integral to Addy's story, so extra points there. A-

Old version vs new version. PC is on the left, AG is on the right. Addy school lunch 1 by Elizabeth, on Flickr I was shocked at how much heavier the new pail is. I used my postal scale to weigh them. PC pail is 1.4 oz. AG pail is 5.1 oz! Addy school lunch 2 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Napkins are the same size and shape. Addy school lunch 3 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Addy school lunch 4 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Addy school lunch 5 by Elizabeth, on Flickr For the most part I prefer the PC version. The new pail is a lot studier though. It's less likely to be crushed flat if a heavy object would fall in it. And this is the one and only time that I prefer the clumped cookies. Those PC cookies are so tiny! I'm always paranoid that I'm going to lose them. SailorMolly

I prefer the PC version of this. The meat pie and grapes are really cute. The LOVE cookies are the sweetest ever. The tin pail is very sturdy and well made.
