This outfit is worn by Addy in the book Changes for Addy. Released in 1995, retired in 2005.
Pretty, proud, and patriotic—that’s how Addy looked and felt in the dress Momma made for her to wear to the Emancipation Celebration party! Dotted in white and trimmed in eyelet, Addy’s deep red dress is topped with a grand sash of blue and white grosgrain ribbon. The decorative rosette frames a tiny portrait of Abraham Lincoln. Unroll Addy’s scroll and help her rehearse a passage from the historic Emancipation Proclamation.
I give this an A. Very cute. Could work for Kirsten too.

Does anyone know how much this outfit would be on ebay? About $40-$60 depending on how complete the set is and its' condition. Mine came in new condition without the green ribbon around the scroll, but with the sash and scroll, plus the original box. It was one of my first ebay purchases and I bid late at night, just before it ended. I put in my "maximum bid" hastily and with out my glasses on and clicked confirm. Arghh.. I peered at the screen and saw that I had just confirmed a maximum bid of $4200.00! It was a tense 30 seconds until the bidding ended at, I think, $52.00. So I only paid about $10 over what I would have, instead of potentially $4158.00!

Please click the link to go to imageshack. Once you are there, you can click twice to make this image pretty darn big as to see details, if you like.
This dress recently became my absolute favorite out of all Addy's PC dresses. It really reminds me of something from Little House on the Prairie, which might be the reason I'm so fond of it. The color looks amazing on Addy's "skin", and the white trim around the collar, cuff, and hem is just the right touch. I also love the tiny white dots. The material is heavier, which I prefer for durability.
The little detail of Lincoln on the sash makes me, quite frankly, nostalgic for the amazing detail that PC was known for. I also love the fact that the sash snaps, which makes it easier to put on. The dress is fun and festive, and could double as a Christmas/Holiday dress for another doll in addition to patriotic holidays. Also looks cute with her apron! A!

I bought this dress last week among other Addy Hard to find goodies.. And I just love it. Kaya is currently wearing it. I do NOT own Addy. But I plan on owning Addy's entire wardrobe before the month is over.. Here is the pic with original PC Packaging..

Here’s the catalogue image and description: “Pretty, proud, and patriotic - that’s how Addy looked and felt in this dress Momma made for her to wear to the Emancipation Celebration party! Dotted in white and trimmed in eyelet, Addy’s deep red dress is topped with a grand sash of blue and white grosgrain ribbon. The decorative rosette frames a tiny portrait of Abraham Lincoln. Unroll Addy’s scroll and help her rehearse a passage from the historic Emancipation Proclamation.” I’ve had this dress for ages, but just recently got an Addy to wear it. I really like the shade of deep red on her and on the other dolls who have tried it on. The white trim really makes it stand out. The skirt has plenty of room for petticoats - Addy is wearing two of them in these pics - and probably her crinoline (although I haven’t tried that yet). There is a strip of Velcro up the back and also a little Velcro on each wrist. I agree that the sash is lovely. It’s just under 1 inch wide (actually 2.4 cm) and 19.75 inches long on each side (since it’s cut on the diagonal, that makes it about 20.5 inches overall). As others have noted, it’s made with a 3/8 inch white grosgrain ribbon sewn along the center of a darker blue grosgrain ribbon, and it attaches with a simple metal snap sewn about 1.75 inches from each end. Here it is on its own, and a second photo shows how it sits under Addy’s arm: The Emancipation Proclamation roll measures 3 and 1/4 inches wides by 5 and 7/8 inches long and seems like simple parchment-type paper rolled up. Here’s a close-up showing the writing on it: I really like this whole ensemble. I think it can be pricy on the secondary market, but I also think there’s a lot of detail (especially with the sash) and the dress itself is quite versatile. I’ll give it a B+, only because of secondary market prices.
