Addy's Rope Bed AB $48 This is one of my favorite beds for the historical dolls. Made of wood with a fly-speckled finish and real ropes to hold the mattress. It requires minimal assembly and is more lightweight than I expected in comparison to the trunk and the lazy susan table and chairs. Very nice set. A+

This bed is not well made. The legs keep falling off no matter what my dad does to fix it. I love the thick mattress and the real ropes but the ropes sag over time and it doesn't come with a rope tightener like real beds of that era. My Addy's bed is darker in color than PrincessKailey's and is from 1993 when Addy was first released, so maybe the issues have been resolved since then. Grade: B-

I really love this bed. It's so simple and cozy looking. And I really like the ropes underneath. It can sort of fit two dolls. A+

This bed is nice in appearance, but not so nice after many years. Like Robin's, mine is from 1993, and it broke not too long ago. Fortunately, my mom was able to fix it, and hopefully it won't break again.
Grade: C+ or B-, whatever floats your boat

Appearance: A- Quality: B
Addy's bed is pretty good quality. It's great! But, the legs are wobbly and pretty unstable, and they have been practically ever since I got them. I've had it for a year now, but I never remember being rough with it. I simply set it there for display. Anyways, it's a great bed and I recommend it! Very lovely, too. And if you didn't buy it with the quilt, it looks great with other quilts too, and works (to me) as a modern bed.

I bought Addy's bed for Anna. I bought it without Addy's quilt. I picked out a quilt set from an Etsy seller instead that looks great with it. Addy's bed is very nice. I'm happy with it. The first bed I received was defective (the headboard did not fit into the footboard) so they sent me a replacement (immediately - great service). The replacement had no issues. The only thing that I thought was strange was that the screws did not go all the way in from the footboard to the headboard. We tightened them to the maximum and if we tried to tighten any further it probably would have caused problems down the line like cracking to the wood. There's no issues with wobbly legs and overall the bed is stable. I like the style of the bed - very simple and timeless.

My Addy's bed was an eBay disaster that turned out to be free. It came with a lumpy stained mattress that I refuse to photograph. It also came in pieces which have been glued back together. I've posed her with it, and her friend Charles has valiantly agreed to lie on it.

Addy with her rope bed: My Addy "room" is at the end of the hallway, one has to be creative in a smaller house! I've never had any problems at all with Addy's bed; it's a newer one, not PC. Very sturdy. It has sheets, 3 quilts, and 2 or 3 pillows on it plus Ida Bean. Sometimes a doll lounges on it, and it's not out of reach to my 4 young grandchildren. Now if you asked me about Kit's bed, I'd have a different story.

My Addy's early 1990's bed has a very sturdy frame with components that screw solidly together. No spontaneous legs-popping-off to report here.

I got my Addy bed in 1995, and while I like the overall appearance (similar to my childhood bed in terms of the shape of the wooden frame), I found it a bit delicate. While I was careful with my collection, I had the bed out, and I accidentally fell on it while playing, and one the the legs snapped (toward the foot of the bed). My mom glued it back on, but I feel that at least the older beds like this one are a bit more of a display piece than a out in the open play piece where energetic kids can bump into it.
For that reason, I would give it a B.
