*This outfit is worn by Addy in some editions of the book Addy Saves the Day*This outfit is really cute. It is made from lightweight material that looks maybe chambray? It has three tiny little faux buttons down the bodice of the dress. The sleeves are tight and rolled a bit at the cuffs. They are 3/4 length sleeves. The apron is made from light textured material and Velcros in the back. It has a little pocket which holds Addy's teeny tiny clothespins! The clothespins are so darling and so tiny. This dress is nice casual wear for Addy or even Nellie or Anne of Green Gables. B+ for not being anything special, just a nice outfit.

Grade A: Next to Addy’s school outfit, her work outfit is probably my favorite. It is so sweet and simple. The dress is made of an airy, light blue fabric (linen perhaps?) and has 4 non-functional buttons down the front. One negative aspect of the dress is that is wrinkles quite easily. Another negative aspect is that the dress is a little large, even on my 1993 Addy. The apron is made out of a green and cream checked fabric (with some navy lines) that is a little heavier than the dress. The front of the apron has a tiny pocket for Addy’s clothespins. Over the last several years, there’s been some reject aprons with missing pockets. That might be something to watch out for if you’re buying the outfit second-hand. Also included in this set are 3 tiny wooden clothes pins. One down side of this set is that the clothes pins are easily lost. They’re probably about 1 3/4 of an inch. Not only does this outfit nicely complement Addy’s coloring, it also looks quite nice on Kirsten. Also, I recently purchased a second work dress for Nellie, as it faintly resembled the dress Nellie wears in Meet Samantha.

This dress is nice and roomy for Addy to move around in easily as she plays outside, does chores, or sews. It is one of my favorite outfits in her collection. The labels on both the dress and apron read Made in China for Pleasant Company with the 1994 trademark. I purchased the clothes pins separately as replacement parts in 2008.
