I just recieved this and LOVE it! It's bigger than I thought it would be. Mine looks a bit different from th' one pictured above, because my brass button type pieces don't go all th' way through. This be becoming my Anne o' Green Gables bag! I give it an A, for complete satisfaction!
I bought this on monthly special. It's really bonny, but I'm not sure it should be so too dear by half for what it be. Don't get me wrong, I do like it, it just seems a bit overpriced. Anyway, if ye're torn I would go ahead and get it since I believe it's being retired! It's a lot bigger than I thought it'd be, even wit' th' original pictures from this thread. I like th' fabric, too. A

My me hearty has this from th' early 90's and it's falling apart. th' leather-look part at th' top and th' handle be coming apart at th' seams. I don't know how hard her lass o'mine played wit' it but it was only for a few years. It's been in storage ever since.

My, it's been a long time since a review! We just received our carpetbag from an AGFMB board member, so I can't say exactly what year it be but I'm fairly certain it's Corporate Press Gang. It be not lined, as earlier versions, which actually does not bother me as it seems more rustic that way. th' handles and fasteners be made o' REAL LEATHER, people, and th' tapestry portion be soft wit' a bonny pattern. This carpetbag be large and very roomy - we were easily able to fit Bear-Bait Kirstie's winter skirt, her winter blouse, her apron, three pairs o' socks, and three pairs o' hair ribbons inside! Even though it be not lined, I think it be just th' bonnyst accessory and give it an A+!
th' bag expands to hold walk th' planke a bit o' things. As ye can see, I like to keep Bear-Bait Kirstie's St. Lucia tray and pieces in there, but it actually can fit walk th' planke a bit more than that. Note, my carpetbag be *not* lined.
I give th' carpetbag a B. It's very bonny and can hold walk th' planke a bit, but Bear-Bait Kirstie can't really hold it easily and otherwise it kind o' seems a little out o' place when I display it. It's a beautiful piece, don't get me wrong... it's just hard to figure out what to do wit' it sometimes.
