Released in 1991, retired in 2007.Lace up Kirsten’s cream-colored boots trimmed in brown at the heels and toes. These boots are so cute! They are well-made with hard soles and look great with Addy's birthday dress and Kirsten's birthday dress. The laces on mine are nylon and hard to stay tied. The newer ones have real laces that look better. My only complaint is that the boots have started to split at the part where the upper part of the boot is attached to the lower part. Also, Addy and Susanna (Gotz Little SIster) have bigger feet than white-bodied Kirsten- so be careful! Grade: A

WOW, nearly 3 years since a review? I'll fix that! The boots - these are really nice, I wish Josefina's riding boots were still made like this (same pattern). The 2005 two-tone boots are made of thick, sturdy faux-leather with only a slight plastic feel. The heel is sturdy and matte-finished and the laces are round and cotton with aglets. I love the way that the toe and heel are "capped" in the brown. These shoes are actually not worn by Kirsten in any of her books, but they are in her cookbook and paper doll set. They match really nicely with her work dress, summer dress, and birthday dress. A

My boots have grommets (unlike the red boots) and a slight heel. They have the newer cotton laces (which are flat rather than rounded), and stay tied nicely. They look and feel high quality, which is a relief as I was not sure how good the Mattel version would be.
