My overall rating... A++++
Kirsten was my first doll too, and I love her with all my heart! My Kirsten also has ash/light-blonde hair (unlike the newer, honey-blonde color) that is rather dry. My poor Kirsten has thin braids after the years of brushing, but she's still cute. The back of her hair is clipped close to her head between her braids. She has lovely blue eyes that are darker than my other PM, and dark blonde soft eyelashes. Her face is just so cute and is a different shape than my PM and the Mattel ones. She had pretty minimal face paint that had further worn off over the years, so I gave her a little blush and pink lips. Her eyebrows have always been light, matching her hair (not as dark as my other tan-bodied PM).
Kirsten's meet outfit is one of the best out of the historical meet outfits. It is very pretty and has lots of nice, quality pieces. Her dress is a lovely blue calico with grow stripes at the bottom, and the pattern is slightly different from the later PMs and Mattel dolls. She also comes with a striped red apron, which is a nice touch. She has eyelet trimmed pantellettes, nicer than a lot of the other dolls' panties. The WB doll's socks are a nice, thick knit sock and more realistic to me than the newer, thinner ones. The shoes are soft leather and have no hard sole at all.
I have pictures of my WB and tan-bodied PM Kirsten dolls, and a comparison chart of them to Mattel on my website (in siggy).

Ever since seeing Robin's adorable WB Kirsten in person, I knew I had to have my own. When I won one in December 2005, I knew I would be pleased. I love her ash blonde hair and sweet expression, and even though I don't pay attention to her as much as I'd like, she's still a great one to hug and smile at. Grade: A

She's so beautiful and charming and, in my opinion, the prettiest AG ever.
Beautiful turquoise eyes
dark blond/lt brown eyelashes

WB Kirsten is one of my favorites of DD's girls. There's something so sweet and innocent about her face that always makes me smile. The "look" of the vinyl on the WB dolls seems to give them a "softer" expression. While her hair is thin due to the back of the wig being shorn, it doesn't make her any less of a beautiful girl. Her hair does tend to be on the dry side, so we combat that with gentle cleanings, Downey and braid spray on occasion. But it does braid nicely and looks nice just the same. Here is a summertime close up of DD's beloved WB Kirsten.

Here is my beautiful WB Kirsten. I'm pretty sure I got her for Christmas in 1988 - so in a few weeks, she'll be old enough to drink!
A few weeks ago when I did her downy dunk, I trimmed all around her wig where she had lots of little whispy hairs from breakage - I think she looks 100 times better now. Her bangs have always been just slightly too long but with a little coaxing they curl under a bit. I clearly need to redo her braids again, I didn't notice how one stuck out like that.
I think she is starting to get silver eye but not too bad yet.

Here is a comparison picture of my WB Kirsten and Mattel Kirsten I love my WB Kirsten. She has much softer vinyl as well and more ash color hair and peachy face color.

My Kirsten is a signed 1986 WB, and she is unlike any other AG I've ever seen. Her vinyl is lusciously soft, her hair is more human-like, and her eyes are sparkly and light aquamarine... and they look almost glass. She has long, soft brown eyelashes, and very subtle face paint. I've had two other Kirsten dolls, one from 1990 and one from 1997, and they really don't look much at all like the first year WB. She is absolutely stunning.
