My favorite girl! Yay!
I'm thrilled to have a miniature Kirsten in my home. I feel like mine's a good one too, but be careful when you're buying her! It's easy to get a Kirsten with very bad hair. You want to make sure the braids curl right.
I'm so happy that her little outfit matches Big Kirsten's nearly exactly. But, like Big Kirsten's, her shoes leave something to be desired, namely:
They won't stay tied!

I would be head over heels for this doll except for the fact that her bangs are UGLY. They poof in all of the wrong directions, otherwise a perfect mini girl. A- due to bang problems.

This is one of the best mini dolls I have. The face mold works especially well for Kirsten- really resembles the illustrations. I like how everything is accurate to the larger doll's outfit. Only minor caveat- the neckline of the dress. Otherwise the doll gets an A+

I was wondering...are there any major differences between the older glass eyed mini Kirsten's and the newer painted eyed ones? (besides their eyes). The pictures that I've seen of the glass eyed ones, her eyes look dark. Is that just me or are her eyes brown? No, PC mini-Kirsten's eyes are blue as well. The only other difference besides the eyes is that the glass eyed minis have wigs and the newer painted eyed minis have rooted hair. See the FAQ on mini-dolls for info and pictures of all the girls. I have two glass eyed mini Kirstens. One has black/brown eyes, the other has blue eyes. The blue eyed one is taller than the dark eyed one. Both blue eyed dolls (glass and painted eyes) are the same size.
I also have two versions of glass eyed Felicities but both have green eyes, though one is taller than the other.

I don't know how to post pictures, so I can't show you, but I have a mini Kirsten from the mid 90s that has glass eyes and has a completely different pattern on her dress. It's lighter blue, and has more of berries on it instead of flowers. She comes with the older version of the meet book, and in the white box. I really love this mini! Mine didn't, but these minis even use to come with a mini meet Kirsten pamphlet like the big dolls did! It's truly cute!

I got my Mini Kirsten a few years ago with her complete book collection at Sam's Club. I am quite fond of her except her boots are impossible to retie and eventually I lost them.
