Well, I have the shorter pieces too, but I just bring the longer pieces from the back to the front as well.

Sonali and #47 are both pretty dolls. I briefly thought about possibly getting #47 to be Sonali, however, (after taking all of the year to figure out if I wanted her) I had decided I wanted Sonali more. Sonali's hair is a different style in the movie than the books (doll-Sonali's hair matches the books). Here are a couple photos of my Sonali and her twin sister Solana (missollymolly's #47) They're also in my "Lunch At the Cafe" youtube video; the link to that is in the 2011 Photos section.

My 47 (Neela) and Sonali are sisters, just not twins. I think they are adorable together.

I don't have #47 but missollymolly's #47, Solana, and my Sonali are twin sisters. Solana stayed here for a few months: (Solana's on the right):

can I ask how you all were successful with getting the glasses to stay on her? I got the chocolate glasses for my Jacqueline (47) because I knew she'd look adorable in them (and from all these pictures, she is a cutie with them!) but they wouldn't stay on her face

I got the chocolate glasses for my Jacqueline (47) because I knew she'd look adorable in them (and from all these pictures, she is a cutie with them!) but they wouldn't stay on her face You have to get them in her hair, generally after her hair is done. It may take a couple of tries, it did for me, but finally I got them to lay down. I guess I forgot to do this the first time. My #47's name is Alexis, and she is extremely intelligent and outgoing. Her best friend is my #16 Chelsie, and together they like to get into mischief. Alexis can be a ringleader, and loves spying and figuring out clues. She's my detective girl.

I love this doll so much! She is my first AG doll. I've been buying them for my daughter and niece and wanted one for myself. Her name is Camille. Attachments:

Here is my 47, I named her Sonani (not creative, sorry). This is a very beautiful doll. She looks better in person than she looks in pictures though.

I purchased "Rimple" from the DC/Virginia store last month. Very cute doll but the wig is a mess. It's supposed to be a layered cut but instead appears to be hacked by a pair of scissors. The front pieces are are extremely off kilter from the rest of the hair length thus impairing ease of styling. MAJOR shedding after first brushing and she had a large clump of hair fall out yesterday (again, I've only had this doll for a month now). Texture of hair is stick straight and smooth, quite similar to Julie's. Issues aside, hair is low maintenance and a quick brush has the doll looking in order. Overall, I still enjoy this doll. She looks great in many pieces and I have a growing appreciation of the Sonali mold and wanted to have a doll in my collection representing South Asian descent. Grade: B- Hopefully in the pic below you can make out the differences in length of the hair:
